Overly accommodating? Perhaps, it would be worth search co-dependency? I am guessing from family member who finds herself in same position. She eventually married one from this position convinced he loved her. In 6 years, they were divorced. Good luck in Relationship.

Hmm to keep one girl as backup plan means she's like 7 while try to go for something better like 9 and see if can secure that and if it fails then yeah just accept 7 is what i can land.

I would like to know as well… In my case I think it’s bc he’s not ready to move on from his past yet but he still wants the chance to build something new in case his original plan (or girl) falls through…

Yeah, I am trying to figure that out. One was long distance due to their job, this one is a year out of a divorce that struggled with closure but that’s not the impression they give me in the beginning. If I am it’s not intentional, I made my intentions very clear from the start.
