Keep in mind that most people are supportive, and the judgmental assholes are a smaller group. In either case, don't worry about whatever comes out of your mouth. If you screw up, just laugh it off. Instead of laughing at you, most people will be laughing with you. Your self-confidence grows along the way. The more you hang around people, the more you pick up on social queues.
