As someone who has extreme anxiety. Yeah I guess therapy and medicine is the only way. People say to get out of your comfort zone, but that didn't work for me 😕

Exposure therapy. It sounds really daunting, but you have to force yourself to go out every day and approach people or have conversations.

no, it's a solution with someone trained in the profession. Doesn't mean they are any good at it, ditto for physicians, dentists, programmers, etc.. If you were to hire a programmer to build for your company, you'd check their resume, references, interview them. We just jump into a therapists office, pay them $100/hr or more, as if they are good in our issue... some are not.
You can do a lot of work yourself. The solution really is... change. After all, you are saying you have a "problem"... e. g. you want change, so question is why you have this issue, finding the root causes, then finding solution paths to change. It's simple as that. The solution set may be a concoction of changes, discovery, healing, etc..
Time to do some work. I had to do tons of work in my life to address problems I had from physical to emotional to mental. Life is a lot about getting to know yourself, healing deep wounds, deciding whom you want to be, making the hard choices and changes, and as well, accepting yourself and learning to work with others.
you can do it... you have no choice. the world is your oyster.
