After a week, ok to text again or shall I let him text me again? He had trouble in stormy weather, and it's stormy yet again. Would seeing if he is ok with his basement, be too much?

As long as you're not being annoying with frequency, there's no hard and fast rule about how often you can send someone a text, especially if there is a purpose for the text. There's nothing wrong with texting "I'm just checking to see how your basement is holding up in this storm. If you'd like help dealing with the storm, just let me know."

If he doesn't respond after a week, then he's probably just trying to lure attention out of you. Just forget about him until he scraps together the braincells to text you back.

What do you mean by “lure attention out if you”? You mean, get me curious about him or what he is doing? He did the same last Sunday but wrote back on Monday, texting a lot. He works nights too. I’m curious about what you mean though.

By the way, he just did before, but I am wondering is this as new thing that people dont communicate as much as they used to? I have yet to hear his voice. We'll be going out in a week or two, first time meeting, but I'd love to hear his voice at least.
