She said she likes me, and wants to try if there can be something between us. Yet she told me to wait for anything serious, how should I act?

I have been dating this girl for 2 weeks, and we have been behaving like a couple, getting very intimate with each other and even ended up having sex multiple times. Lately I made it clear that I like her, and she said that she likes me too and would like something serious. But at the same time she told me she also wants to meet other people, since her 3 year old relationship was ended by her ex boyfriend just a month ago, and she doesn't want to get involved in a serious relationship just yet. She even told me she has always seen me as a friend, but she has been feeling something more than just friendship since I confessed to her. She always told me she doesn't like superficial things, and that she really likes me, that she needs to talk to me all the time about everything, and feels really good with me, but still I don't get her behaviour. I think she is really confused, and recently she told me she misses her ex boyfriend and I suppose this is the main reason she is scared to start a new relationship with me.

I really care about her, but she's driving me crazy. I know if I get an ultimatum I will probably be officially rejected, so should I wait it out? Should I just keep living in this limbo and see where it leads to?

Hmmm I’m going to be completely honest, this seems like a rebound situation. She thinks she has feelings for you because you two are sexually intimate but in reality she’s just filling the void of her old relationship. If she had feelings for you, she would most likely be tempted to jump into a relationship with you. I’ve been in her shoes before. She’s a girl that doesn’t know boundaries and is going to end up hurting you because she’s confused with what she wants. Also : you need to know your worth. She doesn’t have the emotional availability to give you the love you deserve. Sex does not equal love.

I know I think of this too sometimes. But she has been always telling me she doesn't want me to be a rebound and that's why she asked me to wait to sort things out. When I confessed to her, she told me that she instinctively would say yes, but she wanted to wait exactly because of this. And this is why I think there must be some feelings behind this and not just me being a rebound. But I might be wrong because I can't really think straight in this situation.

She’s not making any sense. If she didn’t want you as a rebound, she shouldn’t have had sex with you while still sorting out her feelings of her old relationship. She sounds like she’s in the middle of wanting someone but wanting to be single because she was just in a relationship. she's going to end up hurting you or keeping you as a last option
