She likes me, but isn't ready for a relationship?

I really like this girl, and she likes me. She says she's not ready for a relationship. Not just with me... with anyone. I understand. She's going through a divorce. She's really important to me. And I want her, not someone else. But she tells me to find someone else. I don't think she actually wants me to. She just wants me to be happy. I know it will be a long time, and that's OK with me. She doesn't want me to wait, though. What do I do?

If she is as important to you as you say she is then giving her time to deal with the divorce is the only way to go. Sure you could go and find someone else , but that would tell her you aren't patient , nor are you committed to her. Put yourself in her place for a minute , if the shoes were on the other foot would you be ok if she just up and went and found another guy? No neither would I. Just continue to be there for her and it will do more to build a bond than you realize. Good luck bro

She's not into you. I've used this excuse time and time again. Girls say this when they like the attention they're getting and want the guy to continue chasing and giving them the attention. They also use it when they feel bad and don't want to hurt your feelings. I wouldn't wait if I were you.

Don't wait. If in the future you are both single and interested in each other, pursue that. Until that day comes, live your life.
