If a guy ghosts why does he not just delete me?

So my crush is now ghosting me and we were talking for a while and getting along great. then all of a sudden he ghosted me completely. I don't know what happened. He even avoids me online all the time? like why not just unfriend me? I don't get it? why keep me around if you are hiding from me?

He's keeping you on "reserve," so to speak. In other words, he may have found someone else to pursue, but he doesn't want to completely let you go either since he knows you like him.
Hence why he's keeping you as a contact... if the person he does want fails, he's got you as a backup since he knows you like him. He can reappear weeks, months later as if nothing happened.

That or he's just flaky as hell. Either way, I'd unfriend and delete him from all of your social media and contacts, and move on with your life. You deserve better.

Just find some other guy you have a crush on and send pics of how much happier youbare with this guy.
