What is your favorite place to take your date for the first time?
- 12.7K opinions shared on Dating topic.
u +1 ySeasons 52 restaurant for dinner.

It is nice but not over the top, a good place for conversation and good food, and it has ample parking adjacent to the restaurant. After dinner, if all is going well, I can invite my date to walk acrss the street with me to the Capitol Grill for an after-dinner drink. And while we are walking acrss the street, I will reach over and hold her hand while we stroll.

At the end of the evening, I walk her back to her car, tell her that I hope to see her again very soon, and hopefully receive a good night kiss.
That would be a perfect first date.

+1 yI have (or had, that is :) ) no ''standard procedure''.
Two scenarios are possible: I ''feel safe''; or ''case pending''.
Usually, I'd ask what she would like me to arrange.
I may be in contact with her for longer already, and we basically 'click' - depending on our common interests, I'd suggest something that we both enjoy.
If she's an 'experiment' - I'd pick something with an escape route and a range of spontaneous options. Lucky, we have a number of beaches here, with street food, bars and restaurants, etc.

+1 yMy first dates for many potential partners was my favorite little coffee shop. It's early enough in the day that if things aren't working out, it's easy to give a reason to leave.
But my SO & I met during COVID restrictions ending & I was broke, so I told him to come over my house & have a home cooked dinner.
I think he loves my cooking more than me some days 😂
On a side note, i made dinner for my mom & us yesterday & she asked if I ordered ToGo because it was "so professional looking & tasting"... I was half amused & half insulted by the question.01 Reply- +1 y

+1 yBro she’s eating that manz pizza! I feel like Spider-Man rn “woa he stole that guy’s pizza!” 😂 My first go to date? Maybe one where we could talk for a bit like a picnic or preview something together and talk about it afterward like a movie/ play/ concert/ opera/ musical/ museum/ art gallery/ zoo/ aquarium.
11 Reply- +1 y
I can't eat pizza like that. I have to use a knife and fork.
+1 yI have this beach right next to my place and I usually take them there, we either surf together or I give them a class which is always a good bit of fun. Then we drive by the coast for like 15mins, and stop at this amazing hotdog vendor truck. A couple more mins in the car to get some ice cream and then watch the sunset...
I've done it more times than I care to admit, but it has never failed me sooo, don't fix what ain't broken 😂😇10 Reply
+1 yI like to go for a hike. Gives us a chance to chat, and it’s an informal fitness test…lol. I take care of my health and like to be active do at my age, it’s important to me to find someone who does the same. It’s pretty crazy how many men say they are active and then show up with a belly or have the beginning stages of some pretty limiting health issues.

It didn't last. When I was seduced by a much older woman, Sharon was expendable. I'm not proud about that, but I'll say it.

+1 yI am in a small rural town. We have a nice lake that is protected (no motor boats, no beaches, no houses) for migratory birds. I pack a picnic and we watch birds take off and land as the sun goes down. Really nice. Sometimes, I bring a sketching kit and invite my date to sketch with me while we watch the birds.

+1 yReally depends on the girl. Generally any place where you can talk and get to know each other is good, but also a place where they are comfortable and can show their interests. So for an art student their favorite museum works. A park where animals and pets can be walked for someone who likes animals.
You want the place to be quiet enough so you can talk freely, but there should definitely be others in the area.00 Reply
+1 yStargazing on Hawthorn Road between County Road 10 and County Road 20, in Jasper County, Missouri. It's the place with the least light pollution I've found, within an hour drive of my stomping grounds. Stargazing tends to encourage deeper conversation, I've found.

+1 yim kinda old school when it comes to this... I would like to recreate the scene of the book where the protagonist promised to bring the moon and stars for his love? Didn’t we all dream about a love like that? I just wish to turn that dream into reality (not literally, obviously :P). So im gonna ask her out on a date to the city’s planetarium, under a million stars ✨😂

+1 yIt depends on the day of the week. If the date is on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, then I will go to a steakhouse such as Longhorn. If it is on a Wednesday, then I will go to a chicken joint such as Wingstop. If it is on a Friday, then I will go to a pizza parlor such as Cici’s. If it is on a Saturday, then I will go to an Italian cuisine place.

+1 yGo to olive garden and get some Chicken Alfredo and whatever she wants from the menu then we hit the theater or a walk on the Stock Yards (tourist place in my town) then we go to a cliff and watch the stars and have a deep convo of anything could be anything or about aliens or how my cat was walking upside down from my ceiling

+1 yA date I went on with a girl once, was at a bar/rest.
Turns out she was just using me though, as he boyfriend was in jail, and she was just trying to get laid while she was waiting for him to get out.
Ever since then, I'm done dating

+1 yFor me a Museum is a great choice. It's non threatening. Every exhibit is a new topic of conversation. You learn a lot about a person hearing their likes and dislikes. Afterward take her to your favorite deli or bar.

+1 yI know this is going to sound bad but an early like 5pm movie showing. Because that way if we realize we don’t like each other it’s ok we didn’t talk that long. But if I realize I do like her I can ask her out to dinner after the movie.

+1 yDinner at a nice quiet restaurant, where you can spend an enjoyable time talking and learning about each other. And if the date doesn't go well, at least you get to eat good food.
00 Reply Sushi at a good, reputable place, and then a walk in a park to get to know one another more. Hopefully on a wooded trail or by some water.

I love this idea but I hate sports. Still, the spring air, the excitement, the crack of the bat; even people who don't know baseball can enjoy the ball park. I personally like the small town teams (AAA, AA). In the Southwest United States, there is the Pecos League which is not affiliated with Major or Minor league baseball. The players drive themselves to games, buy their own uniforms and rely on guest hosts for housing when playing away games. It is all about the love of the game. Occasionally, one of the Pecos League players will make it to the show. In May 2014, Fox Sports 1 aired a six-part documentary about life in the Pecos League, mostly based on the Trinidad Triggers. In August 2014, Jon Edwards made his major league debut with the Texas Rangers becoming the first player in Pecos League history to play in Major League Baseball.
