There's deal breakers or things that will make it really hard at least. Some guy (or girls for that matte) might also say they're willing to go through certain things while they don't really understand how difficult it'll be and just break down over it during the relationship. I personally am very wary of the type who'll say they're willing to support me through everything and will work through everything coming towards them to be with me.

Yes. If a man is dead set on being with you, he’ll do whatever he needs to do to make it work. But, that takes a very strong desire within him and the reasoning needs to be something deep. It needs to be a driving force that will fuel him to go through whatever pain and suffering and hardship and work it may take.

Usually, yes, I'd agree with that, but there are some people who are so traumatized from their life experiences that they can't do it.

Yeah I think he’s genuine in his struggle with that. He’s upset because he’s feeling knocked back again when he through he’d made progress. I tried to tell him not to be so hard on himself as grief isn’t linear. But he’s but the breaks on to try and protect me (to cut a long story short). I’d like to think we could make it work in the future, and he does sound like he wants to fix it now so we’ll see.

Nope. I mean if he really wants you then one would assume that he would... but that does not me he will, and if he doesn't then one can only assume its not that important to him.

All can say is that when two people meet and its meant to be then they make it as easy as possible on each other to be together. So if this something you want he should be making as easy as possible for you and if he is not... well you have to ask yourself if this guy is really worth the anxiety and hassle.

Depending upon how "issues" is defined, no. Not if he has any self-respect. I say this because what she thinks are issues might simple be his reasonable boundaries.

Fair point. But in this instance they ARE his issues, and he’s well aware of that.

In that case, he needs to deal with them in a manner acceptable to you or you should move on. There are too many chill people out there for you to waste time on a lost cause.

I don’t know. Relationships do take work, I think a lot of people are under the impression they should be easier. I think if it’s meant to be it’ll be if both people work together. It’s also hard to give up on something you’ve both invested a lot into. If it were abusive or one sided I’d agree with you. Bit in the case of struggles, I think it’s worth trying to figure it out.

We all have some issues, that’s just how life is. But I was more willing to make it work I think. He does have certain training that allows him to understand people better and he didn’t want to stop but thought it’d be best for me apparently, so that’s why he’s ended it. And to be honest I do respect that because many other men could easily have tried to take advantage for their own gain.
