Should I initiate chat with my crush, who knows about my feelings and who asked me out on a date?

I confessed my feelings to my crush, day before yesterday, he was my senior in school. I am sure he doesn’t remember me from school, as its been 4 years. But he reacted really nice , he thanked me for the text lol and even asked me to go for a coffee. But he said he will let me know on Sunday that when he is free. It’s Saturday today and I can't wait. So should i start texting him bcz i wanna talk to him or wait for him to text me about the date tomorrow?

Yes, you could start texting him and just casually tell him that Sunday is around the corner and that you have other plans for tomorrow. You can tell him that given the choice, you would prefer to go for a coffee with him because the other planned appointment is less interesting to you. You would much rather spend the time in good company rather than to be stuck with people you don't value the company as much as you value his.

Make it sound as if the other meeting is more of a burden than anything else. You could tell him that it is a reunion with some extended family members that you are not too fond of. It would be a real welcome change than to have to spend time with those that you value less.

Make it sound as if he is your savior. This gentle and subtle pressure should boost his ego and hopefully entice him to give you a positive reply.

Yeah i said yes and then we started discussing when we have common day off but after that time we didn’t text each other. I didn’t wanted to be too desperate. He said he will let me know on Sunday.
