Women are conditioned to choose a mate with whom their offspring has the greatest chance of survival. Loosing a child due to non support was as devastating prehistorically as it is now. Women have for ages sought to walk by the leader. Status and ranking. The advantages for her children were significant. On the other hand what are you seeking a relationship for? I have heard fundamentalist say that a woman who has sex with her husband only to get him to do things around the house is a prostitute with one customer. I also cite a relative who was actively pursuing a Doctor who passed away without marring her, who became violently upset when a new husband of hers lost his job. "He only married me for my money" So, It ok for you to pursue an affluent mate but not ok for a man to pursue you because of economic reasons. Once again, I understand the reasoning on both side. I just can't be the judge.

I understand where you are coming from but I don't agree with your definition. As some women enjoy being a call girl for reasons not ours to judge.

But anyone who settles for the money is going to be very miserable and disappointed when they can't get everything that they want

Yes, but women are hard wired to seek a man who can provide resources. Women are supposed to leverage their youth, beauty, and fertility, to lockdown a man who can protect and provide for her and their children. The problem is modern women instead spend their youth, beauty, and fertility, on Chad's, than become desperate to find a simp (who they detest) to pay for their mistakes.
