How do I tell him that I made a mistake?

I started dating a guy 2 weeks ago. There is something I wasn‘t honest about and I need to tell him. The problem is that he‘s on vacation for 2 weeks.. should I wait and tell him in person once he‘s back or tell him on the phone/text him while he‘s gone?

Wait till he gets back. 1. You don't want to POTENTIALLY ruin his vacation if you claim to care about him. 2. Doing it in person he can pick up on non verbal signs. Emoji's can only go so far and convey so much. And many times can actually do the opposite.

I'd wait until he's back depending on what it is. I'd be afraid to ruin his mood while he's on vacation. But it definitely depends on what it is that you need to tell him.

Thank you! it was a stupid lie, I told him I was 20 but I am 18. I thought maybe he would not take me serious if he knows my real age. Like I said: really stupid :( I feel so bad about lying and I want to tell him. Would you tell him that once he‘s back or while he‘s gone?

Yea I'd wait. Let him enjoy his time and then when he comes back you can come clean.

Well it might make him worry that you'll be dishonest with him in the future about something else. If you really like him, be honest about why you lied and put in the effort to earn his trust back if he does make it a big deal. Is he a lot older?

He‘s not much older, he‘s 20. how can I earn his trust back?
