Should I send the guy I like a message first?

I like a guy and wondered if I should make the first move and send him a message and say Hi? I’m so nervous cuz I like him a lot. Is this something I should do?

Yes! I'm so tired of women being too shy to talk to or approach a guy first. I used to be the same way growing up: I assumed it was the guy's job to talk to or approach me first. The problem with that is, if he's not sure you like him, then how will he know to talk to you? I'm sure I missed out on a lot of crushes due to that... but lesson learned the hard way!

Look, it won't hurt to at least say "hi." Then see where the messaging leads: ask him what he's up to, what he does for a living/what school he goes to... basically make conversation (but no forced small talk). And see how smooth the conversation feels between you two.

Definitely, it helps a lot to make the first move. It also saves you time. I think it’s great that you’re thinking about making the first move. I say message him and try to make conversation with him. I can tell you from experience it helps. Most guys like that as well. I got into my current relationship from making the first move.

Yes you should. You have nothing to lose because if he likes you he won't think anything less of you just because you decided to text him first.

If he doesn't like you, well then texting him first won't make any difference either.
