My most recent ex-boyfriend of two plus years was very nerdy. For me the attraction at first was his confidence in asking me out and despite being nerdy, he was cute. On the first date I saw him for who he really was, funny, intelligent, quick-witted, charming, and kind. Hell, what more could a girl ask for? He was also kind, and treated me like I was a princess. He was never rude, he never ONCE looked at his text message while I was talking. I get hit on by jock types all the time, they feel entitled to my time and affection. Nerdy guys on the other hand are way more polite and attentive. They are also (in my experience) better movers, because in bed it was all about my pleasure to him, and to me his pleasure was all that mattered. As it should be! It’s also nice to be with someone whose body count is very low to non-existent!

The truth is men over the age of 40 are way better then useless men you're age who are still momma's little boy bad you go to momma in everything!!!

I stop caring and dating men you're age years ago.

I got tired my boyfriend he is 41 and his the best boyfriend I ever had men you're age are just jerks.

Now if you think looks matter more you're lost boy!!!

My brother/his girlfriend are like you described - she works part time as an EMT, he's a paramedic, recently graduated w/ a Masters as a Physician's Assistant in December 2022, but hasn't found a job in 8 months, now she's complaining about him not being assertive enough. They have 2 cars, 2 dogs, unlimited data plans, Netflix, Amazon Prime, she has a less than 2-year-old iPhone & Apple Watch, live in a $2,300/mo condo, while she works part-time at a near minimum-wage job; talked about ex-boyfriends (drug dealers, thugs, etc.) - guess who's footing all the bills, while she "encourages" him to go for his ambitions - can you figure out the attraction?

Because nerdy guys look more serious and mature, which can be attractive for some ladies. As people grow older, they may look for a potential husband/wife and maybe tired of players. 😉 As a college girl myself, I find nerdy types of men attractive.

Because their shyness and the way they blush reveals their real feelings- cause many of them haven’t had a real relationship. So if you return their feelings, and they’re really sweet to you- that’s the best thing ever because they will treat you right.

Id much prefer a guy that loves and cares about me that is considered “nerdy” than some buff guy that I had a crush on for over 5 years that never liked me back.

It's probably because they tend to be more successful and are more likely to attain a higher status than others. This doesn't show right away which is why the attraction to them didn't start until several years after college when these guys have more time to get their careers going.
