I understand. I'm just saying in NYC at least, a lot of women have "salary standards" which is repulsive, and I am trying to gauge if this is ubiquitous or just a weird thing about NYC.

Im from Upstate Ny with some family in the city. Cost of living is pretty high. I can understand someone wanting a potential partner to make around the same as them.

Those numbers translate very differently in one place than they do in another; country to country and state to state. I made a full third more in California than i made in Michigan doing the exact same work, and yet i bank less in Cali, generally. I’ve had to rediscover cost effective living here in order to maintain my savings & retirement growth. Ell oh ell! Just sayin’.

No actually. When I found a new job that vaulted me from 60 to 85 K, everything seem to be a lot easier lol Same guy here.

Not in New York. Factor in inflation, and after taxes and my 85 K is not special lol
