How is a preference a fetish? Is it because I'm Indian?

I'm a white man. I've had crushes on several Indian women. I wasn't single when I met them, so I didn't pursue them. It doesn't matter if white men don't usually marry your type. You only need to find one who will. Try online dating sites, and find activities that will put you in contact with single men. Outdoor activity groups are great for that sort of thing -- there are usually many men and few women. If you are politically inclined, volunteer for someone's campaign. Join a Habitat for Humanity project. Participate in professional groups. Take up chess or Magic the Gathering if you have any interest. Anything to make social connections.

In regards to your update a preference isn't a fetish at all. It doesn't fit the definition of a fetish.
Calling ONLY CERTAIN interracial pairings a "Fetish" is a commonly used tactic by jealous or racist people. It's an attempt to shame certain races from mixing by presenting their attraction for one another as something sick, abnormal, or unusual.

Oh I know for a fact Asian women have a white fetish. Although, I am an odd case of a black man who's had relationships AND sex with Asian women. What I can say from the experience is that a lot more Asian women like black than they really make known because they're often afraid of the hate they'll get back from their fathers or culture altogether. But yeah, I REALLY can't stand the Asian women who put white guys on a pedestal. They literally do it to a point of not even hiding their racism towards black people.

One of my exes is Vietnamese. Not seeing it often does not equal to these women never being attracted to black. There is a cultural control aspect in it. Again, it's easier for an Asian girl with a white fetish to have her mate be approved of than if he were black. Your situation is no different, even if your girl's parents are showing resistance. But if you were black it most likely would be worse.

I hear you're more mainstream in the UK where there's more of you. Most of us won't even try because your racist fathers and brothers chase us off. Being Westernized helps, but even if you are Westernized, your family might not be. For this reason you kind of have to approach US first.
