How do I meet girls / flirt / talk to?

I'm kind of in a shitty spot rn, 8th grade me was super super weird and I was the quite kid. Then the pamdamic hit and schools closed. I ended up going to a technical highschool where the boy to girl ratio is 56:1 Not many girls want to be carpenters or welders lol. I'm a Junior now and honestly, I don't know any girls. I just got my license so I'm hoping I can get out more but, I really haven't talked to girls or anything since 8th grade... And I always have really shitty luck. I try everything, listen to everyone, and I just can't find anyone whos willing to talk. I don't think im that ugly lol, I'm big into bodybuilding, I've been hitting the gym for 2 years now, I'm a volunteer firefighter, I restore classic cars, like I'm not just sitting here on my ass eating Doritos but every time I try to slide in some ones DM's or talk to someone at the gym we start talking and shit just gets dry, then they just ghost tf out of me. It's great gym motivation but I'm a Junior and I haven't even had my first kiss. Everyone my age is talking about drugs party's and sex, tbh I'm happy just going for a walk lmao. What do you think I'm doing wrong? Maybe just bad luck or something, what would you do in my situation?

You are the only one that can help that situation.

In order to have friends or a girlfriend, you must be pro-active and find friends. They will not just pop up in your life without you being involved in the relation. Best is to join a club, take a hobby where you can meet people with similar interests.

If you are good at one specific occupation, then see if you can find a club or place where others meet that share that passion. The rest will just fall automatically into place. Sharing the same interests with a person is always a good start to get to know that person better because you have common grounds.

But you have to work on yourself first. That would include shyness and social anxiety if those apply to you.

You can train your approach, your attitude and expression in front of a mirror for example. Think of what message you want to bring across and rehearse it until you are satisfied. The next step is the most difficult one and that is the one where you have to put in practice what you learned and rehearsed.

But without you wanting and acting upon it, nothing will ever happen. You have to get out of your comfort zone for it to happen. The most important is not to be afraid to fail. If you are rejected, get back onto your feet and try again. Good luck.

You're problem is you are over thinking things too much. You are only 16, most guys are in the same position as you are. Especially these days because your generation has to deal with social distancing, social media, etc. People have gotten so used to social media that they have forgotten how to even socialize with new people. It's a huge problem with people in my age group ( I'm in my 30s) so I can't imagine how hard it is for teens. So don't be hard on yourself first of all. Recognize you live in a mostly digital Era so that's mostly how you'll meet people.

Also, nothing is wrong with not having a kiss yet. I was 20 when I got my first kiss! Everyone has different timing and that's ok. Id say just relax a little and try to meet girls through Instagram, TikTok, etc. If you are going to meet girls in person be patient because most of them will be shy. Start off with friendly conversations just like you would with guy friends and form connections with people. Find out things you have in common etc. If the chemistry starts to build you can take it from there and you'll know when she wants to take it further because she will start to flirt and want to be around you more. Then you can take the lead, maybe ask her to go to dinner or coffee. The movies etc. If she accepts more than likely she's romantically into you.

Right now you’re a teenager at 16 it’s not good for you to meet girls because you might get one of them pregnant how do you know you can control yourself wait until you’re a grown man to meet women where you’re more responsible because you’re not ready to be a teen father and mistakes happen very quickly.
