When to remove dating profile?

If you start seeing a person and it seems to be going well. By what date is it typical to discuss exclusivity and ask the person to remove dating profile. Also if you were seeing someone before you two decided it was exclusive, would you be bothered by the dating profile still being up and or updated. Especially if the two of you are getting closer and more intimate? Thanks for all opinions!!!

I would say 2-3 weeks into you seeing each other consistently would be time to get rid of dating profiles, unless it is clear that you don't want to be exclusive.

If you're really into someone (especially at first) you're not going to be that interested in other people anyway; so, it should happen somewhat organically- just removing the dating profile because you're not interested in using it, and you want to show you're serious about the person. If you have to bring it up, if the other person is maybe waiting for you to do it, then you just need to have a conversation that you're interested in seeing where this goes, and you don't want any distractions.

I don't think I have ever asked someone to remove their dating profile. I somewhat see them scrapping it as a sign of exclusivity and a way to show their intention without having that talk.

As for if it remains? Doesn't bother me. If it is used and updated? That might warrant a discussion about where we both want things to go. I don't complicate these things much anymore. When I feel I would be any form of upset seeing her with someone else I'll probably take that as my sign to voice where I stand.

I've met several women online and I've never asked them to remove their fating profile, even after we've become exclusive. Sometimes they removed it, sometimes they didn't. I never removed mine, though I did stop using it when in an exclusive relationship. That turned out to be a good idea for both of us after we broke up.

When I still used it - I just left things as they were, and did not ''log in'' any more.

Mainly, as a signal for my new girl that at all times she can check me up to see that I ''wasn't there'' for weeks or months already.
