Comments are open to both genders, so let me know what you think about this whole situation of a tall-girl + a short guy dating.
+1 yPersonally, I wouldn’t date someone shorter than me since I’m already quite short (5’2), but the shortest guy I would date is 5’6. I would have no problem dating someone shorter if I was taller, like around 5’8 or something.
Zendaya and Tom make a great couple and zendaya is taller in the relationship. If you’re worried about people making snarky remarks behind your back, or the relationship turning weird because they’re taller… forget about all those. These people who talk about your relationship behind your back are not worth it. If you really like this person and do not mind the height difference, go out with them.

+1 yI have always dated tall women. They didn't seem to mind at all. I think tall women realize that a good man will always be tall in the way they handle themselves and the confidence they show.

+1 yPersonality is important so there is no limit to how short he can be before I will not date him. I think women like tall guys because they look more dominant, but I do not need a dominant guy, only one who is nice and loyal.
10 Reply 1.7K opinions shared on Dating topic. I’m already too short. At 4’11, I don’t think I want to date a baby 😑
11 Reply2.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. Most of them won't, even the ones that claim that they will. If they seriously would, why are there almost no girls with shorter guys long term?
Go out in public around holiday time to see the long term couples and count how many couples have a taller guy vs how many have a taller woman in the relationship.
And the ones that tried it, they left because it bothered them. They may use something else for an excuse, but they won't be with a shorter guy for long term. It is very rare.

I think for the most part you are right, but sometimes it's also the guy who has more of a problem with it. I don't have a height preference myself, but will most likely never date another short guy. The first left to date another girl who happened to be equal height with him ( I was half a head taller), the second did the exact same thing. Coincidence? Don't think so... they were also both incredibly insecure about their height.

@HighValue
FACTS!
If you're six feet and taller as a man, height is a non-issue for you.
If you're below six feet (short), then height is going to have half of women out there automatically reject you.
And if you're same height or shorter than her, then MOST women will automatically reject you. - +1 y
@SomewhereElse
How tall are you and what was his height?
I'm short myself (180 cm) but I would never do something so scummy. - +1 y
@MCheetah How are you short at 180cm? That's definitely considered tall where I live! I'm at the taller end of average at 165cm. Depends on the location I guess, when I lived in some parts of Germany I felt like a midget at that height, and when I visited the Netherlands I felt like a dwarf. Never measured either of my short exes, but I would guess they were somewhere between 153-160.
- +1 y
@SomewhereElse
That is sh*t-tier / female height where I'm from, the US. The only thing more insulting than that is to call someone at that size worthless ('Durchschnittlich, mittelmäßig'), which some people do, which I find to be very offensive. But it's short, or more specifically to you, "not tall." They're the same thing.
And most women where I'm from tend to be about 166 to 169 as the median height. I figured you were tall for a female, like 178. But it turns out, your exes were just extremely short. - +1 y
@MCheetah damn, that's brutal and wild to me. And so strange, I've done a fair bit of traveling & some studying in the US and it seemed to be pretty diverse height-wise? (Bay Area, NYC, Washington, Detroit). What a difference. My exes both got a lot of shit for their height (almost exclusively from other guys by the way). But guys around 180 were definitely considered tall, "short" was 170 or below. I mean in a country like the Neatherlands I'd kind of get it, not that I walk around with a measuring stick but the men did seem to be exceptionally tall there for the most part. But in other places... ?
Anyway. I think it's completely stupid to make assumptions about whether people are worthless or not based on their height. Kind of seems like a gold-digging status symbol almost? I completely understand if someone doesn't find someone of a certain height attractive, everyone has their preferences.
Durchschnittlich / mittelmäßig just means "average" by the way, not worthless. Not that it's something I'd enjoy being called either. But realistically most of us are :) - +1 y
@SomewhereElse
No. I'm telling you, most white and black men under 35 in the United States are 180-184 cm. So that's "not tall." Which like I said, is just a synonym for short. I just prefer saying that to "not tall," which is longer and a snowflake euphemism. Sure, Mexican American and Asian American men, especially those over 40, are even shorter than that, like 173, which causes the national median to go down to 178. But most American males are white or black men. Hell, even women in the US easily exceed 180. It's not that uncommon to see women six feet and taller. Maybe 5% of them are that tall.
Like I said, I've been sh*t on by so many women (who like I said, are around 168, meaning they're my height in heels) and have the emotional baggage to go with it. I f*cking LOATHE being as short as I am in ways words can't describe. But I've certainly tried with MyTakes in the past.
I've given up pursing women because NONE of them would be acceptable with a guy as short as me. And unlike all other men my height or shorter, I'm not going to simp and beg a woman to be with me. No; I'd want actual love, not a one-sided abusive relationship. Other short men do that, but I can't handle that.
And yeah, I know what those German words mean. That is what worthless means. Disposable. Replaceable. Valueless. Some people will insult me by calling me that because of my height, and it f*cking drives me insane. Legitimately one of the only things that offends me because I didn't choose to be this short, and shouldn't be compared to valuelessness because of it!
No, they would not. 96% of straight women would NOT date a same height or shorter guy (and 50% of straight women don't even want to date short-but-taller men in general, like 5'8"-5'11" or shorter).

But lots of women love to LIE on the internet, because heaven forbid a woman make herself look bad or tell the truth. But all of us men KNOW reality and know just how many short men end up in happy relationships (maybe 5% at best).

I would date a guy 5'8 (cause that is also my height) , I don't litterly want to look down on the guy, so I actually would prefers someone who isn't shorter
In all honesty I would like to say there's a limit but if I loved the guy he can super short I'd still date him and also In about 1 year if I'm still the same height I'll be official considered a dwarf so I don't care but I don't truly have a limit though in all honesty I would like it if he were taller than me but if not oh well I guess.
10 ReplyA guy should be taller, I prefer short girls, but I might not have much of a choice, because tall girls tend to show more interest in me than short girls, I am not sure why.
22 Reply- +1 y
Maybe that the reason, but at least with are kings of manlets, it's something. :)

+1 yTotally. The only issue with shorter guys is that more often than not they’re actually the ones who have a problem with the height difference (in my experience)
I’ve been on a few dates with guys my height and they all were off about it!
They just act intimidated and weak about it in my opinion. They all want a super tiny girl themselves lol.
Otherwise if men weren’t like that then sure! I’m rather all about how a man makes me feel.02 Reply- +1 y
I'd actually want a girl that is as tall as me. Reasons why is, if you are the same height you don't need to constantly change stuff to your height like a car. You can both use it without having to change it. Same with the kitchen, I'm not tall myself at 5.4
927 opinions shared on Dating topic. I am only 5'1-1/2". So you might ask me who do I look up to? And I would have to say EVERYONE!!! 🙂
Since I am not taller I guess I can't answer your question.
But if I was taller I would say no more than 3" shorter.11 ReplyI’m 5’3” I’ll date my height or taller. I have dated shorter but he made his height his personality and acted like a victim all the time it was very off putting.

+1 yMy cousin, who's 5'7", was once married, and has two kids. He's now dating another woman, who has three kids of her own
I'm not really a fan of him right now though, or her.
I'm 5'8", so, if a shorter person than me, can find love, I'm pretty sure any man can

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yI'm already short as is, so I would kind of prefer to be with someone a little taller than me, doesn't have to be a wide stretch lmao.. I think anywhere between 5'4-6'1 is fine, I guess. I usually don't even really pay attention to it unless the difference is super obvious (like 5'3 and 5'9 or 5'11) because I'm so invested in the person I could care less.
10 ReplyI'm 5'4'.5''. I would date a guy the same height as me but I would not date anyone shorter. Same with guys, its very difficult to find a guy who would want to date a girl taller than him.

Would you date a tall guy if he only has a average penis size?
2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Wow... 82% of the respondents said 'No'... is there any doubt that women are becoming more and more selective (read:picky) in their relationships? I think this is absolutely fantastic.
00 ReplyNo I wouldn’t, suddenly become a lot less attractive if they are shorter than me
11 ReplyI'm 1,76 meter tall and I think I can date those about 168 tall
