there are a few different ways in which you can be smart and smarter than others...

and all my girlfriends were this one way or another... and I have never seen that as any sort of worry or concern, it is what it is, doesn't really matter to me

No one is smarter than the other in this world. We all have topics we are passionate about and can outsmart people in, but there’s no such thing as an individual that is the smartest in every single topic. Any person that acts like they are the smartest is not a pleasant person to be around

It depends on if they are diplomatic about their intelligence or not. I certainly would want to date someone who was more 'emotionally' intelligent than me, and set a good example. But people who are sincerely intelligent often aren't the ones who are arrogant, as they are smart enough to realize that they don't know everything.

In some areas my wife is smarter than me. Even though we in a rough patch we are better together than separate. I work too hard, and I know the bills are paid and she keeps track of things. I am smarter and more savvy in other areas where she is not.

I spend so much time figuring things out myself that most people don't grasp, and it gets exuasting and feels like such a lonely and unfair burden.

I would love it if someone else did it for a change, and on top of that I crave relatability, and have yet to experience that.

Sword and Sorcerer trope. It's not great for my male ego, but a man is expected to be stronger, not necessarily smarter. Women tend to be more emotional than men, so it not likely, being too emotional it usually not smart.
