Because you care too much personally what they think of you.

Here's reality. If they could save a couple bucks by slitting your throat, they'd do it in a heartbeat. But that doesn't mean you're effort is not valued. That's called business. Concern yourself in doing what is expected of you and nothing more. And ALWAYS remembering. You're NOT part of a team. You're not working to improve thier company. You're working to improve your lot in life and nothing more. To do otherwise is foolish.
