Actually, a lot. I'm living with my partner and we are recently engaged. My older sister lived with her husband before they married. Same as my parents.
I've got 4 friends that are married now that did.
Honestly, I don't think anyone I know got married before living together. That's a little weird to not live together before getting married where I live.

My cousins lived together before they married - at least the ones in North America. China I'm not sure but one has cohabited for over 15 years with no kids and no marriage. My married friends also lived together before they married. I'm more traditional. I rely on God for advice about guys cause God knows the future and he knows what my needs are and what the man's needs are.

Both my brothers and their girlfriends did. Nevertheless, I don't think it's a good idea.
Statistically living together and being involved romantically tends to lead to divorce compared to a couple that doesn't do cohabitation before marriage.

  About 12 couples. 24 hurt people. Of my friends who are married over ten years, none of them lived together before getting married.
  
  My wife and I reached 20 years together recently, married 19. We lived together six weeks before the wedding simply because I had to emigrate and organising a wedding from ten thousand miles away is tricky
