How can females tell if we "click" when chatting online, and how do I make this happen in order to produce real dates?

I recently deleted the dating apps, because things just were not working for me. I saw through email that someone sent me a message. I replied, and we did a video chat. However, I asked to meet her, and she kinda just blew me off. We are still in communication.

Recalling back to chatting, she had said she wants to "see if we click" before agreeing to meet up as a general rule of thumb.

My problem with this: What does this entail when all we are doing is exchanging words on a screen and having boring small talk? Also, two people who may not "click" online may click irl and vice versa.

And this has been a pattern with me. Females want to do nothing but chat for days, even about a week, until eventually unmatching and ghosting me, even after agreeing to meet.

Am I asking them out to quickly, causing them to feel nervous? I would never want to make anyone feel uncomfortable...

How do I transition these chats into in-person dates? Do women simply no longer want to date or find a husband/partner anymore? Why? Is is the pandemic?

I'm utterly lost as to what to do, and it's difficult to meet people due to living in a rural area.

And again, as far as "clicking" online, I don't have some magic hat to pull the "click" out of.

Sorry for the typos. I'm running on not much sleep, and don't feel the greatest.
