Sure, they can be friends or lovers, but if you are asking can they be "just friends" that's totally possible as well. But in my experience, it's usually only a matter of time before the good girl is going to start to develop a bigger crush on the bad boy. It's because if he treats her as a "just friend" but is still close with her and shares his inner thoughts, she will eventually feel like she wants more. There are exceptions of course, usually if the good girl already has a partner, since she is a good girl, but sometimes even that doesn't stand in the way of the crush. That's the true test of what a good girl she is, lol.

From the other side, the bad boy also gets something out of the platonic relationship, since he has enough of the sexual interactions, it's nice to have a good girl friend who hasn't had sex with him, but they can still be close. He can just chill and let his guard down rather than having a "rough, gruff, and tough" exterior, let some more silly and playful side of himself loose, let the good girl vibes rub off on him.

The same way she enjoys his wild nature, he enjoys the purity of her innocence. But yeah, attraction is common, it's just a matter what direction they decide to go.

Just because someone is popular does not always mean that they are bad. I do not associate myself with any bad men, meaning, I would never ever be friends with someone who gets pleasure out of hurting people or seeing them in pain. I would also never surround myself with alcoholics and drug junkies. What is your definition of “bad” though?

I don't think by "bad boy" they mean people who are sadistically getting pleasure from hurting others. The "bad boy" image is more of a tough guy who does "tough guy things" like riding a motorcycle, smoking cigarettes, getting tattoos, and drinking whiskey, but it's more of a fashion choice than it is a definer of a bad personality. There are plenty of really sweet and kind people who participate in 'dirty" activities.

I would not necessarily call it a red flag, but it is more of a "I'm not into this" kinda thing. Besides, it also has certain health risks such as cancer, and some people develop a dependence to tobacco... not feasible for me at all

@wonderbell99 same here, even though I used to smoke. I never realized how much it stunk until I quit, and I cannot stand the smell. I once tried to date a woman who smoked, but kissing her was disgusting because of the cigarettes, it tasted like I was licking an ashtray. I couldn't continue.

Yeah, I tried it for a while. She liked church and jesus and I like drugs and guns. It came down to guys and girls never being friends. Of course all that time spent around her I got feelings and when she doesn't have them back what can you do but feel pain. I stopped seeing her when shs began getting closer to a guy she liked.
