You do have an uphill battle, especially since 96% of straight women do want guys six feet and up and short girls are the most picky about it. Just ask her out. You never know unless you ask. If you don't ask her out then you know that other guys likely like her and she will be swept off the market pretty quick if she makes a move on someone or someone else makes a move on her.

Short women do love tall guys. I'm a short guy myself and short women told me they like taller guys. I've completely given up on shooting my shot on short women. You can try but expect the worst dude. Height inflation is really bad these days.

No your height shouldn't matter. But the odds are still likely she'll reject you. Your typical woman is only attracted to about 10% of men. So you're looking at a 90% failure rate with any woman you choose. Take it slow, be genuine, and don't get too attached and you'll be fine man.
