Is he stringing me along?

I have been casually dating this guy over the summer (no labels, no sex). We were 3 hours away from each other but we did see each other a handful of times over the summer and text all day every day (deep conversations, future goals, future plans). He recently moved across the country for 6 months for work. He didn’t make time to see me before he left but he still texts me everyday and said he misses me. Is he stringing me along or should I wait for him?

So he knew he wouldn’t see you for 6 months and still couldn’t find time to visit before moving? To me that shows where his priorities lie, and you are not one of them. Seriously it’s not like such a big move was sprung on him, he’s known and still couldn’t arrange to see you at beforehand, which is lame. This just seems like you’re a placeholder until a woman he actually wants to start something with comes along. Yeah it sounds harsh but his actions are harsher.

I mean, there's no need to rush into anything with someone else, but don't wait for somebody who is still just a friend at this point.
