Okay so my ex and I just broke up 2 weeks ago. He broke up with me because he said we were just two different people and he couldn't deal with all the drama anymore and I wasn't ready for a real relationship. The truth of the matter is that he was just very immature. SO anyway, literally the day after we break up, he is in a relationship with another girl. (Yea clearly he must've been talking to her BEFORE we broke up). But the problem is that every time I try to move on, he pops back up in my life telling me how much he loves me, needs me, wants me and can't be without me, and how he cares so much about me and I still have this hold over him. WHY IS HE TELLING ME THESE THINGS? And if he TRULY feels this way, WHY ISN'T HE WITH ME INSTEAD OF HER? My friends all say that he is just playing mind games and stringing me along, but what is he getting out of leading me on exactly? (its not like we still have a sexual relationship). I just wish he would stop. Every time I fall back deeply in love with him, he pulls back again. I am tired of this roller coaster with him, but yet when he calls saying things like "I love the f*** out of you, I need you! " it is HARD to ignore him. Can someone please tell me what is going on here and what is he getting out of causing me so much misery :(? Thank you!

I don't know what his deal is, but the only way your heart will heal is if you cut him out of your life. If he calls, don't answer. If he leaves a message, delete it without listening to it. If you see him out, give him the cold shoulder. HE dumped you. I wouldn't give him any more attention than necessary. I know it's HARD to ignore someone you care about, but until you resolve to make a few changes in how you deal with him, he'll continue stringing you along.
He wants to know you still want him. It's a dirty game people sometimes play. Save yourself the emotional distress and refuse to play along.
He is a mind player and you should not talk to him, accept his text, or emails. Cut him off cold turkey and don't talk to him. See how fast he drops this new girl when he can't get a hold of you. I kinda feel sorry for her. But, when he thinks he has you back will he be texting her the same thing? Ahh...Yes he will. I would just cut this guy off all the way and find a good guy you deserve. Then you can say, Sorry I have a new boyfriend and he will be the one that feels bad. Move on and cut the contact.
Yes he's stringing you along, he wants the best of both worlds.
