That depends on your definition of shy. If you mean non-aggressive, I like that. However, if I was a half dozen years older and if after a 5 or 6 dates, the guy was still being a perfect gentleman, and didn't at least make some effort to get into my pants or at least indicated that he wanted to, even if I had no intention of allowing it, I might cull him out.

Especially if a woman is very passive and doesn't like to have to make the first move she would prefer a more extroverted guy

However a lot of women these days prefer shy guys because they give the non hostile friendly vibe as if someone who can be trusted in the long run.

So it depends on how a woman sees you

You have to find out if the girl you like is attracted to guys who take initiative or to guys who feel safer.

Shy of what? If I have a crush on a guy. He makes me feel comfortable. Usually the guys I like are down to earth. They don't have their head in the clouds and the make me feel comfortable. It is easy to smile at them because they are so kind. Yes I'm a quiet person but it's obvious when I like a guy because I'm not so shy to show him my feelings.

NO. The biggest turn off is if the guy isn't shy in the slightest 😒 the guy who has to be the loudest in the room, always talking to strangers and making his girl feel totally invisible. Always bragging about their achievements to people who didn't ask etc. It's so obnoxious and embarrassing like, ew just get over yourself 🙄
