I am 28 years old and never had a real girlfriend. I haven't even so much touched a women in over 7 years. I almost had to sell my soul to lose my virginity to a teen several years younger than me when I was 20.

I am mostly introverted and short in height (5'6). I spend a lot of my time engineering web apps.

I have been told women today have set their standards so high that they are almost impossible to meet by the average (and below average) man. Sadly, most of my peers I have known growing up are married with kids. I am left behind.

Wow, that was almost exactly me... lol. I'm married now, since 5x years old. you can stay screwed up as long as you want. I didn't have the internet and this site to help, so I "wallowed" for decades stuck in my rut of life. And so I hid behind my computer screen, hopeless, and lonely... filling the time with anything else.

The problem is you buddy! If you spend even 3 seconds blaming girls then you've wasted your time. There are plenty and plenty screwed up, but what's the point of that? Time to start learning, growing, changing, evolving... until you get what you want. It's all solvable. If you believe this BS about you are too short, too this too that, we'll you believe what you want, but it's nearly total BS. There's some truth... but it's a waste of time and also lies. Plenty of girls will want you including ones that are taller.

Sitting around expecting women to change is pointless. Plenty of women around that age want mates and you are missing out on them... because... you know why...

web development isn't as a terrible job as people are making it out to be and yeah it's not eye-catching and 5'6 ain't gonna help either.

yeah it sucks that you don't fit their criteria and standards but if one day you do, don't let them rage about the oppressive patriarchy because these standards will ensure that a man be on top with such credentials.

as far as your preferences are concerned, you're allowed to have them but understand that your current situation doesn't warrant such a position to be negotiating especially with virgins. either you end up with someone you don't truly want or you're gonna need to upgrade to meet those requirements of that someone who you truly want.

Are you the person who thinks going back to college is a good idea to meet women?
Are you the one who won't date a woman who has had any romantic past?

If so, it is 100% you. As a 28-year-old, those standards are too high and too restrictive.

From what I remember of you your height isn't the problem. You need to lose weight and stop looking for a woman who's "Never had a romantic past" and also stop trying to get sympathy from them. Just make yourself attractive.
