Or is asking out already telling them how you feel? I'm just seeing if it's necessary to be more vulnerable in these situations or just straightforward. Assuming it's someone you know more than a day at least, not a cold approach

I prefer to know a guys feelings before I meet him for a date because I get scared when I’m in an open setting and cannot hide my emotions if I feel vulnerable or romantic.
Interesting, thanks for your answer! What would make you feel more at ease, just having fun on the date or an early acknowledgement of feelings/kiss?
I think being a position where you don’t have to put too much focus on each other such as a mini golfing event where you care more about the put than the facial gestures or a movie theatre is good for shy girls.
My date idea was to bring a wine bottle and some snacks to the lake and get to know each other more. She seemed to love the idea, with her tone sounding a bit more excited than usual. Not sure if she's shy, just very odd or maybe I don't read her well
Nah, I would not tell them how I feel. The first option is perfect I think and I agree 100%. Asking out someone, makes sense that you like them and they know that. Why else would you ask them out? Tell them that you like them can work if they also like you back a lot but if they don't like you (but still not dislike you and willing to go out), getting too personal and close may seem weird. Remember how many girls are using the "creep" term to offend people they're no into. Tho, this can be a way to find these types of girls and avoid them without going out and give them a free meal so it may be a good idea in the end, lol!
Thanks for your answer! She seemed excited about the date, even texted me about it, though today texted to move it since she's not feeling well and was very apologetic and thanking me for understanding. We settled on Friday which works for both of us. I feel like she knows I like her based on how she's communicating with me, but in reality I have no idea
Makes things clear but don't appear as too needy. If she says anything other than "yes", then move on (unless you TRULY want to stay friends)!
