Honestly it doesn’t matter to me anymore , I guess it’s easier to know if someone is into you if they ask you out over you asking them out But each way is still a 50/50 chance , especially through my experiences with Girls , Nowadays I just go with the flow , if her and I have good chemistry and connection and we are attracted to each other that’s all that matters , I treat her the way I want to be treated , if she is keeping secrets from me that’s her problem not mine is the way I look at it , And sadly most girls I have met have secrets which sucks that people are that way but it is what it is , I just give what I want to receive that’s all I can do , if she is cheating on her boyfriend or husband that’s her problem not mine , Life is to short to keep playing investigator and the truth usually comes out , people that cheat are dumb in my opinion you are going to get busted eventually so you are just wasting your time , If she really likes me she should of been honest with me from the beginning is the way I look at it, if not then that’s her loss and her choice and her consequences to her actions. Basically thanks for a good time but I see no future with you , Good luck with that shit , For a relationship to survive and for love to grow there has to be trust and respect , without any of that it’s just a waste of time , I been burned by girls to the point I don’t give my heart right away anymore , I will treat them with respect and honesty and treat them the way I want to be treated but I will also make it clear to them that I take relationships seriously , I am not going to commit to someone that can’t commit to me , I want to be wanted not used , If you can’t do that for me I sure as hell can’t do that for you. If we end up in bed together then my goal is to have her coming back for more and more , if she is thinking otherwise then that’s her choice and decision , cuz the only way she got in bed with me in the first place is because I felt chemistry and connection with her , I don’t just have sex with a girl for the hell of it , Sex to me is best when you are both really into each other and it means something ,

I've had girls initiate dates. I think it's charming. The thing is, we already new each other somehow, either from work or because they hung out with people I knew. So we'd chat casually and send signals. It was often they who found reasons to chat and be friendly. I don't have to be hit on the head to get the message that a girl likes me.

I never had a girl formally ask me for a date. It's more like they would invent a reason to get together. One girl bought a new car as asked it I would like to try it out. Another girl asked if I was interested in seeing the beautiful spiritual retreat that she sometimes attended in the Los Angeles hills. Two other girls asked me to their apartments but I can't remember the reason they gave me.

If I like a girl and she initiates a get together, I'm flattered. I think she likes me a lot and that a romantic relationship with her might be amazing. At least I'll try it to see how well we get along.

I've been asked out a couple times by girls to whom I was not attracted. That's always awkward because I don't want to hurt their feelings.

When it was me asking, I usually asked her if I could take her out to dinner sometime. I'd take them someplace nice but not too expensive.
On a couple of occasions, I asked if they wanted to go to the county fair, or some special event, or someplace nice like a botanical garden or the beach.

I don't mind expressing and declaring my feelings to a person (guy) because it should always be clear. As far as asking for something serious, I'd enjoy it for my future s/o to ask me out because I simply had always dreamed of it as a kid.

I don't mind being asked either because I just know I would be super gentle with their proposition, and that's more secure than me asking a guy.. when I know guys can be less sympathetic anyways, in general, lol.

When it comes to anything other than dating or serious, both of us sharing feelings isn't necessary, but sharing interests is a must. It should be seen in behavior between both parties before any one party decided to say their feelings/ make a proposition.

The first two girls I went out with did the asking - sort of. Technically I asked, but they both made it abundantly clear they wanted to go out with me. In one case she literally said, "When are you going to ask me out?". By my way of thinking she just asked me out, but I still had to go through the motions.

It amazes me how many girls were into a guy but never gave it a chance because they waited for him to ask her out.

SOMEBODY has to do the asking. In ten years at GaG I've only seen one girl admit that she didn't ask guys out because it was scary. Fair enough - mega points for being honest with herself. The idea that a guy must do the asking wasn't even true 50 years ago. Back then, if the girl did the asking, nobody thought anything of it. Holding onto tradition is fine, but not at the expense of doing without something you really want.

I don't really care. I just want it to flow organically and seamlessly at a pace that I'm comfortable with. If she asks too soon then I'll get spooked. But if I'm to ask, then I'll do it at my pace and feel it out. Unfortunately, this is apparently too slow of a pace for a lot of women. Forcing me before I'm ready just leads to awkwardness and lots of second-guessing because it feels unnatural and too soon. So I often stall when I should press. I have the same problem with approaches. I hesitate when I should go for it because it feels unnatural, contrived, and not organic.

I remember the first time I was asked out. I was on the train heading into Philly. I saw a beautiful Japanese woman. We spoke for the duration of our ride. We said our goodbyes. As I was about to step off the train, "I hear wait wait wait." Not knowing who said it. I turned and it was her. She was grinning like a school girl. She asked me to breakfast then and there. And so we found a cafe in the train station ate breakfast and tea. And she paid for it all which that too was a shocker on top of being asked out.

I found that I preferred to do the asking despite the risk of rejection. My mentality was to avoid overthinking it and to move on quickly if someone turned me down. I didn’t mind being asked out, but my experience was that women tended to get extremely upset if I declined an invitation to go out with them or hook up with them (even if I explained that I didn’t hook up with anyone).

I am fine with both but I wish women would do it more. They tend to sit back and hope that a guy they like will make a move, and when they do show interest it is subtle or cryptic. Many will say they show their interest but guys don't "pick up on the clues", and others will say "why can't I be friendly to guys without them thinking I am interested in them?". It frustrating for us guys. We are kind of damned if we do and damned if we don't.
