no it's not just you though you may not know why this is the case.

in evolution terms, women have always wanted relationships rather than just sex. just sex benefits the man because he can spread his genes around much quicker whereas for a woman she can be vulnerable when pregnant and require the man's assistance to get through the tough times so together they can raise the offspring as a family. these days, women are just giving the sex away to men because feminism told them it's empowering to give away their only leverage which would keep the man around. this is why marriage was invented, it helps the woman and premarital sex was shunned upon because it gave the power to the boyfriend who could simply be disloyal and run off.

for guys who want a relationship, they see some favorable internal characteristics and qualities in a woman that convinces him he should invest the vast majority of his time, energy and resources into her and raise offspring properly rather than him dividing up his time, energy and resources amongst all his various offspring with various women.
