Why do men lie? Did he only want me for a hookup and not dating material?

I met a guy at a party. He approached me and complimented me (he told me I was gorgeous/hot). He wanted to take me out on a date the next day so I said yes. We exchanged phone numbers. So on the next day, we went on the date and he lied to me about almost everything (I found this out after the date). He lied to me about his name and age (although he was only 3 years older than me) and he lied about where he was from. And luckily, no, he isn't a criminal... just a liar. And then he kept trying to impress me, talking about his car and trying to find a good place to take me for the date. And then by the end of the date, he wanted me to have sex with him. Why do men lie? So he had no intentions of dating me, he just wanted to have sex with me?

This is why STANDARDS come into play. Women who have self-respect & self-esteem have STANDARDS and they RARELY get so easily deceived. Women who have self-respect & self-esteem RARELY agree to hook up with a COMPLETE STRANGER. Women with self-respect & self-esteem RARELY have to deal with such men because such men know there are EASIER & CHEAPER women around that require NOTHING to have sex.

Seriously what the freaking heck were you expecting to happen? This guy was A STRANGER. You DID NOT know him from John Doe on the side of the road.

Sadly they lie/deceive women to get what they want out of them ir tgey think lying is the only way to attract someone. You just have to be very careful around such men but it hard cause we're not psychic or mind readers. It's really unfair when people lie to each other cause all it does is ruin trust in people.

But seriously thank god he was a horrible liar but you have to talk to your fellow women about this one. He lies because some of them have rewarded his lies. Your gorgeous your hot, are you saying you wouldn't have tried if you weren't him. Of course you would and probably did after that horrible date. All you can do is live and learn but dont blame us all for his stupidity because some of us know how to handle our business and you deserve to have those experiences as well.

Men lie because they want to get into your pants. This is why it's up to the woman to properly vet the man before agreeing to a date especially the next day. That is a red flag right there. Need some time to do a proper digital footprint maybe a little facebook search... I have been in some doozy situations with women (who also lie) by the way that if I just would of vetted better the date would of never happened.

Yes it does sound like that's all he wanted. Usually when a guy says hot or they're constantly talking about your looks, it's more like they're fantasizing. Or at least thats how I take it. I wouldn't ever take someone serious who's calling you hot, usually it's your body or looks.

If he wanted something serious, his approach would be much different and he wouldn't feel the need to be so flashy.

Umm it’s okay girl that happened to me many times. A guy even asked me to be his girlfriend and then we had Sex on first night and he left. Well the second time we met up he wanted me to suck his pp. so I always try to ask them what they want out of the date and they’ll usually tell you. Yeah, he only wanted sex. And yes, a lot of guys will say whatever they think you want to hear in order to score. Good on you for refusing. If looking for a relationship it is better to wait to make sure the other person is into you as an individual and not as just another slam and jam.

Women lie as much as men. They lie because they perceive it to their advantage. By your age, you should realize that men will want sex and they will say what they believe will get you to drop your panties. Certainly some men will look for a relationship. However, since you found him attractive, he was a bit out of your league and when a guy believes he can do better and your are not relationship material, he is only interested in sex.
