I'm going to assume this question is asked in the context of a relationship, and so I'm going to answer it that way.

From the point of view of men - i. e., what the majority of men want from a woman in a relationship - most women are far lower in quality than they used to be. Clearly many women know this - the votes show that.

Not all men want a relationship, and not all men want children, but OF the men who want a relationship, the vast majority want children, and so, generally, this is what those men want in a partner/potential wife:

Youth (early-to-mid 20s, ideally)
Family-oriented (wants children, wants to be home with them while they are young)
Feminine
Cooperative
Brings peace

Unfortunately, this describes very few women today. Most women today are prioritizing college and career, and have little interest in prioritizing a family, at least in her 20s. By the time women start to care about these things (typically early-mid 30s), most men consider them long-past being qualified - they chose to "spend" their most valuable years doing other things, and now they have little value to a man who wants a family - especially compared to the younger women who are on the market. Plus, most women have been with many guys by that point, and no longer have any pair-bonding ability, have already seen and done everything, and have already given themselves away to other men in every way.

Women COULD prioritize a relationship and children in her 20s, and go to college in her late 20s (once her kids are in school) and start a career in her 30s if a career was important to her - it's not like 30+ years isn't long enough to have a career - but that goes against Feminist indoctrination, because Feminists don't want women in relationships with men - their publicly admitted goal is to destroy the nuclear family.

The result of this is that women today either end up as single mothers - having children with men who never had an interest or any intention of being a parent - or they have no family at all. And when she's still young, and everyone wants her around, being alone is easy, but past 35, most women without families are horribly lonely, which is why so many women try to compensate with cats or dogs - but it's not the same, and those pets certainly aren't going to care for her when she's older and her health is declining. And without family, to have a decent end-of-life, she's going to need to have LOTS of money saved up to PAY for people to take care of her.

Today, in 2022, a decent assisted living facility starts at about $8000 a month, and that's with minimal personal care. Someone needing more personal care can cost $12,000+ a month. Someone who can't afford that is going to end up in some state-run horror show.

Anyway, yes, there are some exceptions, but not many that lead to happy, stable long-term relationships.

Having lived long enough to have a long term perspective I think one of the biggest issues with the "quality" of young women today is that they have been duped into thinking that motherhood and having a family is somehow demeaning and unempowering. This notion is a fabrication of the political left and other entities that want to see American society collapse so they can rebuild it with a socialist/communist model, started in the 1970s and permeating throughout the younger generations, meant to destabilize America because they know that the family unit is the backbone of society that made America the superpower and the greatest nation in the history of the human race. A traditional family with a mother, a father and children is the building block that made this possible and by poisoning the minds of the younger generations of women with their propaganda they have successfully decimated US birth rates and weakened America greatly. Success is all about demographics and the enemies of America are winning.

There is no greater human calling than experiencing the miracle of birth and family to live on after you are gone. Yet, somehow it has been demonized and has been drummed into the heads of many younger women that this is an evil ambition. They have swallowed the poison pill of anti-civilization propaganda. In my view this is the thing that most impedes the "quality" of women today.

I think this question should be changed to, 'is society of higher or lower quality than it used to be?'

I think genderizing and generalizing only adds to the naivity of young adults and the growing divide between genders.

If you look at so many statistics/data sets, and I caution from where because data can be easily skewed and misinterpreted, there is a great deal that display higher crime rates, high % on assistance, less marriages, higher cheating, lower IQs, and general unhappiness across both genders. I would say society in general is of lower quality than it used to be.

If you were to generalize, I would say young adults are of lower quality as compared to previous generations at the same age.

Personally, I blame social media, parents not allowed to parent, teachers pushing their own personal feelings on kids, schools getting rid of math, reading, history, laziness due to tech, entitlement from handouts, and participation trophies.

I know a lot of great men and women so I don't think generalizing genders is a good or right thing to do.

While the quality at top of the food chain is just as high, the average quality of people, not just women, is lower. Many researchers have independently studied mortality rates for children in the past: in different societies, locations, and historical periods. The average across a large number of historical studies suggests that in the past around one-quarter of infants died in their first year of life and around half of all children died before they reached the end of puberty.

Since then the risk of death for children has fallen around the world. The global average today is 10 times lower than the average of the past. In countries with the best child health today an infant is 170 times more likely to survive.

Although, their were other factors involved, survival of the fittest was a major factor that determined if someone lived past puberty. Because, most of the less fit survive, the average intelligence and average quality overall has diminished.

This is a Value assessment dependent upon both a guy's and girl's inclination towards traditional Family Design. Other factors, such as Western society verse and Eastern society, come into play as well.

Western societies are the only ones globally moving away from traditional conservative family design. Russians, if you ever speak to one is Business, "your country.. LMAO". So if one is seeking Family in a traditional sense, where Purpose (reproduction), Form, and Function are sensible, then Western world is not the place to be.

It is not that the majority of Western women hold this worldview, however, when the Woke Feminist influence compounds the above... it is not worth the hunt, time, effort, and potential front and back end Co$t$ in procuring and losing the Wife.

Both, to sknecextent (and at my age I have over three decades of perspective). The more desirable women are of higher quality, but the lower half (so to speak) are less desirable since they’re more likely to be single moms, have financial problems and be obese.

You can see girls judge women of higher quality, while men tend toward lower quality. I think this is due to what they value in their peers, vs what men value in a female partners.

I think that answer is pretty clearly that they're of LOWER quality. Women leave marriage 3/4 of the time, come into marriage with far more partners, often towing around another mans' children, and they don't readily contribute to the man's success, peace, or family in the same way that they did in the past.

So, in terms of partners (generally) they're of far lower quality- this doesn't mean there aren't women who are every bit as good as they ever were, but this is the exception, nor the norm.

As a female teenager, I see that my fellow female teens are getting lazy and extremely obsessed with social media plus everyone’s opinion of themselves.

On the whole, teenage American females are going down. They are whiny liberals who complain about women not getting rights but still wanting half their mens’ salaries.

Rational females like me who critically think are getting harder to find, especially with social media going up (attention spans going down) and the feminist craze.

In todays era, marriage, the family unit, settling down is not on the minds of young women today. Partying, drinking, gambling, attention from wrong men are. Third wave feminism has destroyed the minds of women. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, what the hell is feminism fighting about? Equal opportunities? How the hell can we be equal in everything? If we are talking about jobs, this isn’t 1651 where women are home 24/7. Whenever I apply for a job I never see a job posting that says (this $100,000 job is for men only). In the west, suicide rates and depression is higher in women in countries like the United States, statistics and data have been done on it. I think good quality women — honest, noble, reliable, truthful is rare. It’s not flattering to hear a girl say, yeaaaa I post nudes on OnlyFans to make money because I don’t want to work.

Definitely lower, but that is mainly because, too many times, they let women who are obviously horrible women live off him. This inflates their ego and makes them think they can treat people in any way they want.

And some men who never had love work so hard to improve themselves, find a better job, and become successful while nothing is expected from the woman, so she stays the same shitty person and thinks it's okay.

And yes, I expect a guy or girl to comment on this and say, "who hurt you" and be dismissive of anything I said. So go ahead and say it. That shows how just little you care for anybody.

And even if you don't, there are plenty of other questions on here where some show a complete lack of empathy for a man with hurt feelings. It shows that they dont care about the people they form relationships with and that they only view men as a utility and not humans with feelings.

Men are moderately lower quality now than before, but women are greatly lower quality than before.

Not everyone, but that applies to the majority of people. The majority of people in society have quite bad morals and a bad past that is unchangeable.

It’s hard to say. Women today are openly slutty. I don’t know if they have lower morals, or are just less hypocritical than in the past. One of my grandmothers would tell you all young women are whores. Both of my grandmothers had their first child within six mo this of getting married.

A big part of women these days don't put value on having children, forming a family and letting the man provide.

Instead the choose to be childless as long as possible, put their children in the care of others, and working at the same time.

The truth is: women that decide to be a stay home moms do because that frees them. Having to do that and, at the same time working is way too much work.
