Should I date this guy with herpes?

I've considered this exact question hypothetically. I think... I probably would... but frankly, I would need to do a bit of research first. My understanding is that is IS possible to date him without catching it yourself, if you take certain precautions (which I don't really know anything about).

It also depends on where you are in life, and what you're looking for. If you're basically 'dating for fun' then I would say don't risk it. If however you're 'dating with (a hope of) marriage in mind' then to me it makes way more sense. I understand that you can't know if things WILL work between you two... but if you're dating to marry, it would be more 'worth the risk' of finding out.

If he's everything you ever wanted as a person... then.. I'd take some risks to give things a shot. But... this is going to depend on your personal feelings (obviously).

I think you should at least do some research so you have a full understanding of the risk you're trying to assess.
