This is because they mistakenly think every man shooting his shot for casual sex is interested in marrying them. So if men were honest then these women wouldn't be living in fantasy land. So much easier! Would people like it though? Probably not. I would say it would be a double edged sword: it would save a lot of time, drama, and heartache, but at the same time, you might not like hearing the truth; especially if it's not what you want to hear.

Nowadays people are so scared of being rejected, or rejecting others because, "It will hurt their feelings," or they don't want to deal with the repercussions of rejection. Because once you tell someone how you feel, one of two things will happen: either they like you, or they don't. And more often than not, it's usually rejection for whatever reason. So people hide how they feel to avoid being hurt.

And the ones that don't reciprocate their crush's feelings usually sugarcoat, manipulate, or lead on said crush... instead of just saying, "I don't like you in that way." Like, WHY is it so hard not waste people's time and say you're not interested in them instead of toying with their feelings and emotions? That is why so many people are bitter and tired of dating nowadays! But I'm getting off topic-

Honestly people say they want the truth, even when it comes to dating, but do they really? Do you really want someone to tell you, "Hey, I don't like you because (insert reasons here)." Most people would get upset or lash out. But at the same time, you'd have that closure and be able to move on with your life.

So yeah... if anyone happens to know how to create a truth serum so we can administer it when communicating to potential a love interest, let me know! I, along with probably the majority of the world, would probably pay top dollar for honesty in regards to dating nowadays!

It'd be easier if everyone told the truth and not "their" truth. Truth is not subjective, a fact is a statement that can be verified. It can be proven to be true or false through objective evidence. An opinion is a statement that expresses a feeling, an attitude, a value judgment, or a belief. It is a statement that is neither true nor false.
The idea of "my truth" or "your truth" is extremely narcissistic and when I hear someone say this it's an immediate 🚩
