Does dating ever get easier in your opinion?

I haven’t dated much. I have noticed that once you get through a couple of dates its easier to not feel nervous when you’re still trying to see if there is a connection. But once you care about another person’s opinion of you it feels like all that is over you start to overthink small things trying to decide if they might be interested in you too. So just asking if in your opinion it ever gets easier to basically trust another human in a romantic relationship?

Yes. It sounds like you're experiencing a fairly universal nervousness when first dating someone (you don't know each other)

It's silly, but it is normal. Both of you are trying to put your best-foot-forward and make the best impression on the other. Both of you are nervous, both of you are awkward, conversation may seem somewhat forced. That's because everyone is super uptight trying not to say the wrong thing, and concentrating on what impression they're making with whatever they say or do.

It's terrible.

BUt... if you have chemistry, you'll start to see it as you both relax and actually get to see some of the other person... behind that mask you were both wearing.

The more comfortable you become (with time and conversation) the more the awkwardness falls away, and one day you get to laugh with them about how awkward you felt on your first date. THose are great. You'll find out that while you were worried about this, he was freaking out inside worrying about that.

If you simply don't have chemistry with someone, then the awkwardness stays. So if it doesn't start to get more relaxed after several dates, you may not be right for each other. But this is normal. it does get better. Definitely.

I think that it depends as people get older they may gain more experience as well as know who to look for as well as who to avoid. But it comes with some cons as well such as people getting older people around their age being taken and things like that.

It’s easy to get a date but finding a genuine relationship does take time. You can date plenty of amazing people who you’re just not compatible with for some reason or another. As well as the turds that are out there as well.

If you find "a right kind" of person, with a good amount of mental health, a good fit... yes. I think so. But with the wrong kind of person, it's difficult.

That doesn't mean that I believe in "fate" or "one true love" necessarily. I think that there can be a lot of people who, if they want to put in the effort, COULD make things work pretty well - but that takes both people continuously making an effort and behaving right with each other. Having some dignity for themselves, too.

But without that, if one person isn't interested in it for whatever reason, and without the respect for each other, then it will probably feel like they're both in a fresh kind of hell.

It's always easy... but I don't do formal dates... I would call it arranging a meet'n'greet, and then we hang out and fuck if we both like what we see.

Yes and No. It's gotten easier for me to initiate and filter based on things I've learned from past relationships. It hasn't gotten easier to avoid overthinking things because the value of time increases the older you get which tends to put pressure on wanting to figure things out quickly.

Yes and no. Women never lose there pickings. But as they get older thier options become less and less. So a man's position gets stronger while a woman's weakens as they age. So it gives the APPEARANCE of it being easier. But that's not true because as you get older less and less quality women are available. And everyone has more baggage. I think what is beneficial is as you age you know what you DON'T want so you're much quicker to eliminate bad candidates.

Yes, it gets easier when you relax and stop setting unrealistic expectations in your own head and stop inventing narratives that are seldom accurate.
