What do men look for on a 1st date. I have been on a lot of 1st dates with lots of laughter and questioning, but those never progressed to 2nd dates?

what am I doing wrong? I feel like there's a lot of questions and exchanges and also that the dates, especially dinner dates go on for way too long... I do think I look way better (20% better) in pictures though. Not sure what to do to get a 2nd date?

Why not present yourself in your pics the way you are in real life? You think you are helping yourself by editing the crap out of your pics, meanwhile it’s clearly not helping you for in person interactions.

Yeah, actually I assume your real appearance is not putting them off, but rather, the fact they detect you aren't fully honest. It's not a good business card, it suggests how you'd be shady in other circumstances too.
But you say it's 20%, and if this is true it shouldn't have such an impact either, so maybe it's higher...
Or maybe it's just another reason. Or no reason that is dependent on you, even (ex contacted them back etc).

@quaranta exactly! Agreed. It also may be the fact that she could be presenting her personality in a different light on social media too which throws people off. Just have to present yourself exactly who you are.

Nothing. Guys know probably 50% of what she says on the first date will be a lie anyhow. We're pretty much just listening to the other 50% and seeing if there's anything redeemable about her. And that'll determine whether there'll be a second date.
