I think its actually really sweet of him have said that. Its like you guys broke up for a reason even though u guys still love eachother (assuming you still do). Dont know what the reason is but it is very touching.

Loving does not have to be owning in my opinion. He broke up not because he didn't love you. You’ve gotta see the big picture and see what could have been the reason (if he doesn't wanna tell u, u can't really make him say)

he said it was the communication. the passive remarks not putting input on things that he talks about. usually is about anime. i don’t watch anime like that i watch it cuz he likes it.
