I am so confused?

my boyfriend is continuously asking me to put on a hijab wherever i go. i grew up in a very orthodox muslim family and i have struggled so much to free from hijab.. even now i put hijab on family occasions to satisfy my parents. i always wished to get in to a family who are so free-spirited but unfortunately my boyfriend's family is far more orthodox than mine. he fights with me to put a hijab or at least to cover my chest wherever i go.. i feel so helpless.. i can't leave him.. Apart from this we are so happy together and i have the best moments when i am with him.. i love him so much and i can't leave him. my cousins are also his friends. they are also asking him to make me put hijab. i am not religious and i feel like i am not myself when i put hijab on someone else's suggestions...

Though you may love him now, his controlling ways and inconsideration for your feelings will doom this relationship to frustration and disappointment. He merely expects you to conform to religious indoctrination. This isn't about appreciating you as you are but molding you to become whatever he expects you to be. You're not a lump of clay eager to be molded. Suggest he find someone who is already the way he wants a partner to be. It is possible to be true to oneself without shoving it down someone else's throat.
