My sentiment towards what I experienced, is clear, but until yesterday, I never thought of how I would even bring up the conversation about it, with who would be my future partner, taking into account my partner would probably feel offended, or see absurd, the importance I hold with the LDR I had.
Things get more complex, due to the fact that I wrote a poetry book, based on the LDR.

I don't mention any ex, unless they ask, and then I honestly answer whatever questions they ask.
I was in a LDR once and if I was meeting someone in person I would never mention it. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't consider it a real relationship. Plus, it would probably cause some drama.
Sure, you can mention it. Just lay out the facts. If you explain exactly what happened -- and more important, what didn't happen -- I don't see why she would be offended.
