Why don’t I get approached? Is there something wrong with me?

I'm pretty sure there's not something wrong with you.

Sometimes, guys won't approach a girl who seems confident. I'm not saying don't be confident but that can be a reason.

Then there are the guys who look at you and take themselves off the field by saying oh she must have a boyfriend. Even when you'd love to go out with them.

As for work, I've read some of your responses, and, yeah, when some has great retail or service presence, my assumption is that they're great at their job and not that they would like to go out.

So, what to do? I'd tell you to start approaching guys anywhere but work. Not at work. For so many reasons. But where you get coffee. Where you eat. Grocery store. Shopping. Library. Park. Anywhere. Talk to them. You approach them.

Do you make yourself approachable or do you just sit there and expect the guy of your dream to decide “hey that girl over there minding her own business sure looks like she wants me to shoehorn myself into her day!” Cause guys will do that but probably not the ones that want to actually get to know you or that have a real respect for you. Dropping little hints to people and being open and approachable is your part of the opening, it’s not all on the dude you gotta have skin in the game too. A smile and eye contact or just being sociable in general gives him an opportunity and tell him you’re open to be approached. Going about your business with closed off body language and no smile on your face tells him you don’t feel like being bothered. If he respects you guess what…he won’t bother you.

Well, since women have decided that guys that they don’t like that approach them are all sexual pervs and abusers. Men are more cautious about doing things like that. For good reason, you eliminate some of the bad apples, however, it’s too your detriment that women have done this. Now women have to actually put in some effort to have a partner. Which needed to happen anyway.

Well if you want to catch a fish, you have to use bait. You can't expect men to line up at your register, each one patiently shooting their shot.
a lot of men lack confidence in public to even approach women, so if that your only avenue for meeting men, you're already at a disadvantage.
Bear in mind, men are also not the best at differentiating flirting and professionalism within sales, so even if you tried it with a customer, it's better for him to assume you're just doing your job.
Download apps for meeting folks, expand your search area, put a little effort into it and I'm sure you'll find someone.

I have one app and have met a few friends I may try another. Any suggestions besides tinder? Also yeah that is true. I’m also shy though and sometimes don’t know how to approach an attractive guy face to face, I get anxiety

I've been out of the 'meeting' app game for years, I'm not the guy to advise. I used one called MyYearbook years ago, although I've got no idea if it's still a thing. I also don't have social media, just a YouTube account and this thing.
If you're shy, then force yourself out there. Clearly you don't know a strange guy who you think is attractive, you've got nothing to lose. Just walk up and give him a compliment on something, then ask him a question. Men are starved for attention and recognition so if you initiate contact with that, he's gonna remember you.
