Depends on what terms the relationship ended I guess, I don't know how it would be if both decided to stay in contact as friends. In my experience, sometimes people want to know if you still care, that doesn't mean they truly want you, they had a good time with you, it was fun, but sometimes they just want to know if they're still wanted.
