if you can't afford kale - you can afford oatmeal and rice. There are tons of woman who want a husband and can't find one so being ugly or poor does not make a man invisible to woman - if he is kind - a girl who wants kindness might look past his low pay cheque or his less appealing face.

Lots of girls like that. I do. But we like to feel a difference between how they treat us, and everyone else. If he's sweet and nice to all his friends, co-workers, strangers, people he just met, it makes it hard to tell for us if we're special or not.

That's out of naivete. The media shows us that bad boys are the real good boys. But as soon as we have an actual experience, it tends to be an eye-opener. The first guy I liked was kind of a bad boy. Found out later that he cheated on every girlfriend he had, did, and sold drugs.

Soon after I fell in love with a very sweet, kind guy. We never had a relationship, but someone like him remains what I'm looking for. Plenty of girls have this same experience.

Nope. The thing is there are a lot of bad people out there. And almost every person (guys and girls) can name a bad social experience they’ve had. So it’s normal to be defensive and untrusting. People have learned that when something is too good to be true, sometimes it is.
