Why would a man (did not meet online) use WhatsApp in a relationship when he can just text on your regular number?

A few reasons I can think of:

1. He doesn't have a cellular plan

2. He's hiding those messages from his wife or girlfriend

or

3. He's a weirdo

Hmm cuz my boyfriend did that and he asked me why I'm using regular messenger. He texts his friends on a regular messenger on his phone but not me?

No but he keeps deleting his messages in our arguments

Yeah I don't know it's just odd because I'm like we we're both young. Like I don't get it.

And we did use regular messenger at the start of our relationship but it moved to that later on

He had a tendency to delete messages a lot

Yeah when he deleted his messages on his end it did the same for me so I won't see what he types
