    @sarag65 - you jobless?

If you lived by yourself you'd be paying the entire rent by yourself. If parents had any self respect for themselves & you lived at home, they'd have you pay rent or utilities.

And you ask if he loves you? He should be asking if you love him or his wallet.

@mathew1543 Unfortunately very true. Such women though most times don't contribute anything to a relationship except for cheap sex & why they typically can't keep a meaningful relationship.

I help pay for things with my boyfriend. We're going on vacation in a few months & I'm like I'll help pay for it.

@Vegasrunner The sort of guy that asks a woman what she'd bring to the table is the sort of guy that offers nothing himself. Adults & decent people know what they want their partner to bring. People without a clue ask because they don't have a clue what they'd offer themselves.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Woman always say that because it's easier than facing the truth but reality is anyone who takes on another person w/out considering the value they bring would be thought of as careless. I think the easiest red flag to spot would be any women unable to answer that question.

@BigWhiteWolf87 The fact that this is a common question asked by men but unable to be answered by women already proves who's right. Hopefully u think he's "respectable" however his value is judged amongst men not women which is something a lot of women don't understand. At the end of the day that man is competing in a world against Alpha Males like me, and while I don't know him, the fact that he's settled for a woman who can't articulate her value tells me he can't compete against me because he doesn't have enough respect for himself.

@BigWhiteWolf87 That is an excellent question. Here are the requirements to be a HV Alpha Male.
      1) Recognized as a man of value by other MEN of value - Woman will always claim the man they're w/ is of value because what else could they say?
      2) See #1
      3) Money - Must have money to be able to take advantage of deals and investments.
      4) Status - Need to have connections and be able to use them to your advantage.
      5) Fitness - Have to take pride in your body. I was a college athlete, failed pro athlete and have dedicated myself to workingvoutc4 x a week for the last 20+ years.
      6) Education - I own a BA in communications and Sociology
      7) Willing to take responsibility for failure - Beta males and females pretend they never fail and they are usually right because they are typically afraid to compete
      8) Desired by multiple females - I've been w/ over 270 women in my life, and at any given time have 2-3 females in my rotation, a guy that is stuck w/ one woman does so because that's typically the only woman he can get that's why so many married guys are miserable. Your husband never slept around because he couldn't.
      9) Charisma - When I walk unto any room I don't set the temperature, I set the temperature.
      10) Tangible Value - Currently as a scout and evaluator I've helped hundreds of future ball players earn scholarships and jobs, something they wouldn't have been able to do w/out my connections.
Those are just 10 but it highlights how much value u need as a man, compared to women, who whine and complain when asked aboutvl theirs.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Lol, re-read number 1. What u think isn't relevant to my value in this world, mostly because women male emotional immature decisions. You're husband would never call me trash, at least to my face because he understands that they would be repercussions, women get the privilege of being emotional because for the most part they are harmless, and men of value understand that they have poor impulse control TY for proving my point.

@Vegasrunner #1 is meaningless if you're valued by fellow men who are likewise trash. I mean you have listed absolutely nothing that indicates you have any worth to decent respectable members of society.

What you've listed indicates you're shallow, have an inferiority complex, use and abuse others for your own gain, have no respect for women, have no respect for others, have an overinflated ego that likely has zero merit, etc. You really have NOT listed anything that describes someone of value.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Again re-read #1. Women are going to constantly use their emotion to articulate their POV's which is why their opinion holds both weight, think about it you're making judgments about people you've never met, simply because you're feelings are hurt. Why would anyone take u seriously? Lol, if you believe compassion an understanding have value but don't believe money, fitness and connections do, then u will struggle mightly in life, and it says a lot about the man that settled for you.
TY for sharing your opinion, however re-read #1. This is another great lesson for men to learn, that what a woman says is simply a reflection of how she's FEELING at that time. Attempting to convince anyone that money has no value, just highlights the depth, that females will go to share their feelings regardless of how relevant they are. TY for sharing this.

@Vegasrunner Sweetie. I've been headhunted in my position across the country. I live in New York and had an ALL - house, food, travel - expenses paid 12 month contract in Alaska two years ago. There's a difference between people who contribute value to society and those who think they contribute value to society when they're nothing more than a pawn used for others' benefits.

I, my husband & people like us contribute value to society because we're decent respectable individuals that treat others with respect, etc.

You think you contribute value to society but you don't. Like with a racehorse once your value in sports is used up... you'll be tossed aside & forgotten about with nobody caring if you live or die.

I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to contribute valuable input to your conversation, but I'm really surprised how a question that seems to revolve around a female basing love on whether or not she has to contribute to the household financially evolved into the argument that you all are sharing. Our significant others have different expectations of us, so everyone's situation is going to be different in terms of how they contribute to their household and to the world around them. It would be nice if you are simply realized the value you have to those who are important, and not worry about what others think.

I can understand why you're surprised, women are rarely presented w/ POV's that differ from theirs especially from men so when they hear one, they usually react by looking for exceptions, equality or emotion the way @BigWhiteWolf87 is. The idea of not worrying about what others think is an awesome concept in a vacuum however obviously in the real world your value to others is extremely important hence the reason why there are job requirements, promotions and business deals.

( Ignoring the fact that u seem to have no issue w/ the female author name calling) repercussions is not synonymous w/ violence, violence may be one of the outcomes but is not the only one. It's hypothetical anyway as obviously neither her husband or yourself would ever have the courage to insult someone like me face to face and I doubt I will ever struggle enough to find myself around someone like yourself.

As I mentioned b4 all of this is hypothetical as I seriously doubt the man that settled for you would ever have the heart to confront someone like me in person. While he's a "potential" politician he is not one whereas my organization, association connections and resources have been responsible for getting a good number of individuals elected and re-elected in some cases. A politicians only job is to be useful to those that get them elected so I think I would be just fine anywhere in Clark County orcthe state of Nevada.

People talk about Vegas as if grand. Whereas law enforcement & government officials talk about the mental health goers & the homeless & the drug users they have to corral off the street & into jails for the weekend SO the hotels & casinos can make money from tourists.

@Vegasrunner "Seeing how that assumption is based off knowing nothing about the organization you are speaking of wouldn't that just highlight your own ignorance? Or are you now pretending to know which organization I'm referring to?"

I told you, the welfare club. Are you having a hard time understanding basic English "Alpha Man"?

Very obvious by your behavior. 1) you've said you'd assault my husband & end up in jail a few times.

Hardly the behavior of a decent respectable person but most certainly the behavior of someone who is uneducated, ignorant and on welfare. And that category is the most common person to elect politicans which is what you said your organization does - elect & reelect politicans. And since you mentioned Clark County where drug abuse, welfare, homelessness, etc is paramount AND where some of the dumbest most useless politicans in America have been elected.

Obviously your organization is the "Welfare Club of America".

@BigWhiteWolf87 That is why lesson #1 is so crucial Women are going to always side w/ their delusion when faced w/ uncomfortable truths and this is a terrific example of that. You've created a conclusion based on your emotions, and now are seeking a beta male like @ChefpapiChulo to validate them for you.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Please share where I told you I belong to an organization named the "welfare club" Obviously your frustration has led you to continue w/ your delusion and I can understand why as it is probably difficult for you to hold a factual adult conversation.
No one ever mentioned assaulting your husband but based on the fact he is unable to defend himself that does validate his beta male status.
If you believe that the people that make the laws you are forced to abide by are uneducated then what does that say about you. I can certainly understand how television has contributed to your beliefs however one of the problems w/ marrying a beta male is you've never actually been exposed to these things you've seen on television which is why you're forced into inaccurate characterizations, assumptions and beliefs. If your husband was an actual man of value he would be able to do much better than you.

Whether a boyfriend should pay the rent or not depends on the individual circumstances and agreements between the couple. There is no universal rule that dictates who should pay for what in a romantic relationship.

In some relationships, both partners may contribute equally to the rent and other household expenses, while in others, one partner may take on a greater share of the financial responsibility. It ultimately depends on the financial situation and preferences of the couple.

It's important for couples to have open and honest communication about their finances and expectations. If one partner is unable or unwilling to contribute financially to the household, the other partner may need to make adjustments or find alternative solutions. In any case, it's important to have mutual respect and understanding in the relationship to avoid conflicts and misunderstandings.

Let me make it clear guys.. do not give a girlfriend money. You can pay for the dates, pay a higher % of bills based on income ratio, pay more for groceries if you eat all the food, etc.

But the second you start giving money, and offering to pay her share too, they will overtime naturally come to expect it. This is something the majority of guys and women both do I'm various non related examples, so it's not a dig on women. The bad part is that they may try and rest the. boumdries by then asking you to pay for spa, manicure, hair, etc. Oh and if you stop covering her portion in the future, you the asshole

Asking to share living expenses is not an indication, one way or the other, of if/how he cares for you. If you can reasonably afford to help out with living expenses, you should offer, he shouldn't have to ask.

Yes, he loves you but making you a responsible human in life. You shouldn't always depend on a guy's financial support. He wants to make you an independent woman while loving you. This makes you learn how to look after yourself even when he isn't able to in future. This makes you learn how to survive in life. He simply wants to teach you how to survive yourself when he isn't able to support you but he loves you. Love is in actions. If you wanna know how much he loves you see how much he cares about you when you get sick, when you're emotionally falling down, and how much he's willing to ignore other girls for your happiness. If he's there with you fully and supports you during that time, then he surely loves you. Don't miss him

We always split the cost when we were dating. As a married couple, we both contribute to the household income and spend as we see fit.

@Heterosketero our marriage, much like others is not a bouquet of roses, and we disagree on plenty. Nearly all of our friends and family, with a few exceptions that have divorced, don't seem to have a problem with it working together to cover costs in the early stages before children arrive. my husband has a mountain of cousins, most of who are female, and they have all been stay at home moms until their youngest child hits their teens.
I am the main breadwinner in our family, but my husband does quite well, and is self employed, which allows us the freedom to spend more time with our children.
I do think economics will play a factor in a lot of younger couple's lives in this day and age, though. If you don't have children, having both individuals work certainly helps financially in the early stages. I guess that's a long enough rant. I appreciate your kindness and your commentary and wish you luck in finding someone who shares your value system.

If you live together, then you will share all the joint bills together. So get a joint bank account, from which you pay things like the rent, electricity, water, gas, groceries, taxes... And pay money into it equally every month.

This is not about who loves who more, it is just about sharing the costs in a fair way, just like you share the benefits of a relationship.

It’s fair to pay half each. The only reason for a man to pay all of the rent is if you’re a one income household and he makes enough income to cover everything comfortably and he wants you to be a stay at home wife/mother.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Mmmhhm cuz working at home isn't sitting on your ass? lol
Does your husband help you with anything? Mine didn't and I had to walk everywhere because I don't drive... I walked the kids to and from school, I bathed my kids everyday, I had to dress and brush their hair, get them ready, I feed them I do the dishes we don't have a dish washer, I wash the clothes and have to hang them because dryers are not really possible to have in UK houses I would also have to watch the weather because it rains so much in the UK... I had to walk to the grocery store and cook dinner so don't act like I am lazy you don't live my life.. I also never got out of my house for leisure very often.. since I didn't have any friends there... and my husband never really wanted to go out. Then when my kids come home they would fight and make messes and don't go to bed until 9pm... so yeah by the end of the day I am exhausted I can't wait until your twins are born see how fucking easy being a mom is then with no babysitters... just on your own, with no help with the kids at all from your husband.. wouldn't happen... Plus my husband would stay up most nights and make new messes that I would wake up to... So don't act better than me just because you have a job...
But at the moment I left them all to come home to focus on my self I am in college and gonna get a security job, I am starting my placement for school on Monday... Cuz that life was not for me... fuck having a family it ain't worth it... I can always go back when I am done this school stuff but I don't know if I want to...

@anemone978 - Unlike you, I would never settle for some douchebag that contributes nothing to the household. And he doesn't from your description except for paying the bills. To be honest from his description he sounds inconsiderate, probably a drunk as it's typical of the UK, and doesn't really do much of anything useful.

As for how f****** easy it would be to be a mom. Unlike you I actually have a decent family and my husband's family it's also decent so even if I didn't have a vehicle which I do I still have plenty of support. You on the other hand sound like a typical Council house family.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Yes not judgmental at all 😂 You seem like such a nice lady lol 👌
Yes he doesn't help.. so I work harder than you do... He doesn't drink he just likes to play video games often but nice assumption... We are not a council house family but so nice of you to think so, he owns the house...
Lmao you think twins will be easy? Have fun with that 🤣
You have a decent family? So do I... But my family is in Canada so they couldn't help me out... and his family was decent too but I wasn't close to them so I never asked for help... But anyways your argument was about how much people contribute to a relationship I did my duties and he did his... it worked how we needed it to so just piss off.. just because you live one way doesn't mean you do more or that is the only way to live so shut your face.. plus what matters as a mother is how your children grow up and who they turn into... are they gonna be decent people or are they gonna be assholes who look down on others?

@anemone978 - you say it " worked how we needed it to" and you guys have "my duties and he did his" and yet it is such a life that you complain about it to a complete stranger such as I on the internet. So, in reality, it's not the life you expected or wanted of yourself otherwise why "air your dirty laundry" as they say.

I'm not looking down sweetie, invest in a dictionary. As said I'm a realistic and with a background in psychology just psychoanalyzed you and your life due to the dismal info / complaining you gave.

@BigWhiteWolf87 I wasn't complaining.. I was explaining I do more than just sit on my ass because according to you house wives with no job just sit on their asses all day...

Re read how you talked to me... that is looking down on me saying I'm probably a council house family and all the other stuff you said... Not that you said you are realistic... I know what that means and that didn't have anything to do with what I just said...
and calling me sweetie < condescending much... Well obviously you are not good at psychology because you were completely off about me.. and you are a judgmental bitch so I assume you do something else for your day job...

@anemone978 - " according to you house wives with no job just sit on their asses all day" where did I say that? I asked what do you do as a housewife & stated that ***I*** would not be able to sit on my ass all day long doing nothing. Nowhere did I say house wives do.

There's nothing "looking down on" or are you so unaware & uneducated of British culture that you don't know being in a council house is not an indication of status. It certainly IS if one belongs to the lower groups in society and you seem to get rather defensive for someone happy with her lot in life so NO I'm not wrong about you sweetie. You'd be deluded.

@BigWhiteWolf87 What was the need to bring it up if not implying house wives do nothing...
And then this quote clearly stating its the "only" thing I do... **What I want to know is why can't you clean the house throughout the day if that's the "only thing you do".**

Council houses are for people of low incomes... so you were trying to imply we are poor because only my husband works, but nah we are stable... And you assumed he was an alcoholic... so you are saying we are low status people... of course when people are trying to say my family is poor and of bad repour.. yeah I am gonna get defensive... Yes you are wrong hun... so you are the deluded one...

@anemone978 - yes I asked this "What I want to know is why can't you clean the house throughout the day if that's the "only thing you do" because quite honestly I can't figure out how you can't manage 2 kids and a house throughout the day. My maternal grandmother had 7 kids on her own, never remarried after her 1st husband died, and she could still keep the house clean throughout the day.

Sweetie my claims of your husband & low income only came AFTER you bitched about your life. About not having a car, about having to walk everywhere, about your husband doing nothing except adding messes, etc. TRY to pay attention to how the conversation went, it won't make you so amusing.

Until you whined about the life you don't like that you find yourself in, I honestly didn't say anything truly negative. And that's where you're deluded. If you liked your life, you wouldn't complain to a complete stranger. Basic psychology. You were looking for sympathy whereas I'm like wtf I'd never tell a stranger how much I don't like my life.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Why are you even asking that question tho? Maybe because I am the only one who cleans, and I have other things in the day I got to go do. Plus its not like my house is a disaster it is maintained but yeah I have to clean up the kids mess because they are still kids.. so I don't even get why you are asking... How do you know what your grandmothers house looked like? Plus she had 7 fucking kids parents always make the oldest take care or the other kids and do chores... Its not like your grandma did it all on her own...

I wasn't bitching I was explaining because I do more than you a working mom who sits on her ass all day on the computer doing "work" and probably having someone watch your kid for you. I have to walk everywhere because I don't drive.. if I drove, I would have a car, but I was scared to learn to drive there. Yes I said he contributed to messes because once it is clean doesn't mean it stays clean, there is always work for a wife...

You keep saying I am whining but no I am explaining... you keep putting up this front you aren't saying negative shit but yes you are.. You clowns always saying I want your sympathy.. for what? I don't need your sympathy I am explaining I do more than you on my own then you could ever handle... so don't act like because you have one kid and a job you contribute to anything more than me... that is my point... Not looking for sympathy I couldn't give a fuck about your feelings I want you to tone your arrogance down that working mothers are better... and if you don't provide money to the household you don't provide nothing... < this is my whole point so stop trying to make it something it is not...

Do you have a hard time understanding English sweetie? I said earlier I don't have help. As for my work, I oversee two medical facilities. That means 90% of the time I'm at home handling bills, contactors, marketing, inventory issues, scheduling, payroll, etc. Last year my physical shift was till 4pm and I ended up helping the owner until midnight.

What's the hardest work you've ever done, swept the kitchen? Because to be extremely blunt you're disorganized more than you work.

If you'd any organization you'd do things like shopping on the weekend when your does-nothing-but-make-more-messes-and-play-video-games husband can oversee the children so you can actually clean the house, do shopping, etc.

@BigWhiteWolf87 Well I would hope not you only have one kid... even though you lied about having 2 in your other post.. But because you already proved yourself to be a liar to make yourself look better, I can't take anything you say as fact..
and what does that matter... it was last years shift and why would you need to stay for hours? someone didn't show up? That happens sometimes doesn't make you a harder worker then anyone else.. I'm sure you got paid over time for it...
Lmao I do have a job right now, I am a security officer and in college... I actually go to work and do my job dealing with people...
My husband is allowed to do nothing because that is our set up... but on weekends we do family shit so I don't like to shop then... weekends are bonding times... because I actually like to spend time with my family..

It should be a shared expense. If I earn't far more I would be willing to pro rata the costs but it is exploitative if a girlfriend expects to get free rent, food, heating etc.

If you live somewhere you don't own, then you pay rent. It might be cash or working for him as a housekeeping flat mate or whatever. But you don't get to be a free loading bitch unless he's dumb enough to let you.

If you're living together, I think you should pay based on income be it 50/50, 60/40, 66/33, 75/25, 87/13, etc

Splitting based on income is such a cop out. The partner who makes less gets screwed. If the lesser income partner can't afford it, maybe they shouldn't be living there or they need to find a higher paying job or make some sort of equal concession so the expenses are even.

A woman that expects a man to pay for everything will be the first one out the door when things get rough. A woman that will spend money or even work to keep her life with a man is a woman worth loving.

If ou got hands, feet, and eyes, pay your own damn rent.

No, he should not. Does he love you if he asks you to be a responsible adult? Maybe, maybe not, but that is in no way relevant to being asked to pay a fair share of the rent.
