It’s not that it’s hard. My guess is you’re like me. You don’t notice that you’ve aged and sometimes look to people younger than you for friendship. I had to remind myself that when went to college I was 10 to 15 years older than all my peers. So just remember that you’re going to have the most in common with people your age.

People get set in their ways as they get older, and some get married (which crimps their spare time) and have kids (which all but obliterates it).

You are not alone. I cannot make friends either but I don't care also. I guess some people given how they are just are not meant to have friends.
