How long is 14 months in a relationship?

We've been dating for 14 months and are planning to get married. But I am not sure if it is enough to know each other. Is 14 months long enought to know someone?

Okay, I will say it's enough to know how each other is when it comes to routines and general outlook (s),

It's not long enough to know how disciplined/ambitious/consistent they are with their dreams, and how they respond to emergency scenarios.

It's long enough to know their basic likes, but not everything- that only comes with more time.

I think it's doable; just have to see how you both respond to stress, and how you both would work together in a stressful environment.

I think it's doable, but taking more time before marriage, isn't bad either. Just keep that in mind.

There is no fixed number for that. It's up to you two to decide whether it's long enough to know each other enough to get married. And remember this... you will continue to get to know each other after you're married... learning about your partner (and yourself) never ends.

If you don't feel like you know each other enough after 14 months then you shouldn't be getting married.

I personally would think after 14 months that would be enough time to know the person especially if you've lived together within those 14 months but it varies from couple to couple. Some couples need only 6 months to know that they are meant to be and some need over 2 years to know.

There's no particular length of time that you need to date in order to know someone. I've known people who dated for 6 months before they got married for the rest of their lives.
