Met a guy but he’s long distance, I feel like he’s into me but not really sure how he feels about this. it’s too soon to bring this topic up to him?

I met this guy at a music festival a couple of weeks ago. We hit it off so fast & had a crazy mutual attraction to the point where we walked around hand in hand for the rest of the day at the festival, shared kisses & even went back to my hotel together where we talked & “you know what”. He kept staring at me all night, kept finding ways to touch me somehow around other people & alone & kept telling me how good of a night he was having & didn’t expect to have this much fun. But anyway, the next day we texted & have been texting everyday ever since. He sends me snapchats here & there but I honestly don’t use Snapchat so we’re not snapping back & forth on there like crazy. I wanted to stick with texting because I realized I’m really interested in this guy & it’s more personal to text. Everytime I post a photo on Instagram, he comments how good I look etc etc & it honestly makes me smile hard. The only problem is he lives 4 hours away from me & we can’t see each other or plan to hangout like normal people. He works 2 jobs & has crazy hours. Throughout the day he’ll text me but some days I’ll only hear from him once & won't get texted back until the next day. I know it doesn’t sound too bad but he doesn’t seem like the type of guy to talk on the phone or have time away from work to ask to plan something & see me or vice versa. It’s a bit confusing because I really would want to do these things but don’t want to come off too strong too soon & bring it up if he doesn’t feel mutual about it, hence he hasn’t asked yet. I don't know what us “talking” means, he text me back & seems enthused but it also seems like he’s just responding sometimes. Also every time I compliment him through text he doesn’t say thank you or nothing just continues engaging in the rest of the convo lol. I know logically us living so far doesn’t make sense but I can’t help it, I’m really attracted to this guy. From a guys perspective, what could this situation mean for him?

I feel like he’s becoming inconsistent because he’s been working a lot yet I’m confused though cause in these text he’s also asking if he’s my type & comparing himself to the way guys look where I live compared to where he’s from then proceeds to say I am his full type, personality to match my “looks” so like he’s really into me but at the same time not texting as much as before lol I don't know what to think
