Why hasn't guy confirmed date?

I agreed to a first date with a guy, and he messaged me last night saying we could do this, that, and the other for the date. I said, 'Sounds great, can't wait,' and he said something similar. He's just messaged me now, asking about my day, etc., talking about random stuff like the weather, but there's been no mention of the finer details of the date tomorrow.

Has he had a better response and is just stringing me along in case his other option doesn't respond? He brought up the date twice, once last week when asked, and then again at the beginning of the week, asking if I was still keen.

So what's his problem?

He is taking around 10-20 minutes to respond currently, but when I do respond, he follows up with a question, so it seems like he's keen to keep talking.

So could he just be busy doing after work stuff like dinner and chores etc?

Since you posted this yesterday I’m not sure how things went today, but I wonder if he’s just more of a “day of” planner. Either that or he put some ideas out there and anticipated you chiming in, like setting a time, picking a place or something like that.
